Please bring back my favorite creature!

Post » Mon Jul 11, 2011 6:19 am

Mudcrabs are my absolute favorite creature. I just love them for some strange reason I'm not exactly sure why. I'm kind of sad they haven't been confirmed yet. Seriously mudcrabs would be a great creature to have because it could add more variety in the water creature areas. An area that was severly lacking in Oblivion. Now with the addition of underwater shipwrecks and things like that mudcrabs could be perfect. Plus think of all the varieties they could have with all the different landscapes in Skyrim.

So please bring the mudcrabs back into Skyrim

I'd have to say chances are they'll return. Hasn't ever TES game had them thus far?

I'd like to see another merchant mudcrab like from Morrowind, personally.

Well I know that it is colder in Skyrim, but it is said to have many different weather varieties and landscapes. Plus it could even add an element of variations of creatures.

- "I saw an infestation of mudcrabs the other day. I killed them with fire."

- "ABOUT TIME someone did that. Heard any news from the other provinces?"

- "They say syndicates of mudcrabs have led a boycott of Skyrim goods everywhere..."

mudcrab + snow = ?

mudcrabs are land-going, and most land-going crabs live in tropical/ temperate climates. IMO mudcrabs will be isolated to warmer regions, and lower altitudes. unsure if there are regions where they can exist properly in skyrim

Really? It's the first creature you can easily slash right from the start. I always trained block skill in ES IV on mudcrabs.

Yeah... but this time make them generally passive unless provoked, and make some hostile but keep their "enemy distance" very, very short.
In other words, don't make mudcrabs like they were in Oblivion. They were extremely annoying there.

No, Arena and Daggerfall didn't have them.

Yeah they said that a lot of the enemy creatures won't be hostile unless you mess with them first. I do agree that mudcrabs were coming at you at first sight and it was difficult to see them if you weren't in the open.

Well it is the land of the Nords, who are used to the cold by now.

Mudcrabs were great, the only problem i had was when they started combat with me and I couldn't find them . The most fun I've had with them was watching them kill themselves by attacking me, i love Reflect Damage :woot:
