I don't know how many community members would actually be interested in this or not, as I assume the majority are Steam users. However, fans of DRM-free installers (who like to be able to back their games up) would like to have the opportunity to purchase the Fallout games again from GOG.com. The fact is these games were already on GOG back when Interplay had the rights, and were high up on the bestsellers list, so I believe Bethesda has nothing to lose by allowing GOG to put these games back into their catalog. (Plus those versions had some great bonus content with them.)

Maybe there is some bitterness from B towards GOG because Interplay allowed GOG to put the games up for free and GOG abliged. Another way to look at that is GOG was helping to get the word out about Fallout 4 by letting people play the originals for free.

In addition, if ZeniMax would allow GOG to release Bethesda's other classic titles - the Elder Scrolls games - and id's classic games, too - Doom 1 & 2, Wolfenstien 3D, Commander Keen, etc. - I believe those games would sell quite well.

18,000+ votes for Morrowind, 13,000+ for Daggerfall, 11,000+ for Doom, nearly 5,000 for Wolfenstien 3D, etc.

I don't think they will keep not putting them on GoG.

DRM were a great fashion amongs the publishers and still are on some extend, but there is a large increase of player disaproval of DRM.

In short, DRM piss of players that own the games, by needing internet connexion for solo games, additionnal login, lack of support etc... While those who hack games will always manage to get the games anyway...

GOG got its fame thanks to DRM-free, because there is an huge need of it from the players.

Since the offer is there and increasing, many players only want to use DRM-free games sellers. (not only GoG)

It seems that some publishers start to react, allowing DRM-free for their new games, of softening their DRM, while some DRM plateforms simply vanish.

After a few years, it is not impossible that forced-DRM totally disapear. They are useless anyway.

Maybe i am overly optimistic, but at least the volume of DRM-free will keep increasing.

The more outlets to sell games the better. Bethesda/Zenimax I am sure is aware of sites like GoG. But they need to make sure they don't get burned. So Lawyers get involved to make sure the deal is good and that takes a long time.

Can still buy hardcopies and go to steam. Steam version should know be good to go right from the start. Whereas before you needed to find and download patches.

we will not see Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrin, Fallout 3, or NV on GoG.. and judging from industry standards its unrealistic to expect it..

However, Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, may some day reshow up on GoG, and if we are very lucky we may see Redguard or Battlespire


but expecting Morrowind-Skyrim, or Fallout 3/NV is just unrealistic...

EDIT: why? because games released via GoG are to easy to pirate, releasing a top selling AAA title via it would be a major issue as a result..

I don't really think Morrowind is a big seller at all. Those who buy the game, I believe, are the ones who have a certain respect for the game. It isn't that difficult to pirate Morrowind with or without DRM. GoGs are easier however.
