"Please Check Network Connectivity" - Log in problem

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 3:46 pm

I'm at a university too, and having the same problem, despite the fact that I've never had a problem connecting to any other multiplayer game at this university. As a matter of fact, the connection here is usually excellent, so its a bit frustrating that I can't play Crysis multiplayer at all.

I had the same problem as well, and a reboot of my computer fixed it. Makes no sense to me as to why it would do it, but a full, power off the machine and power back on after it was installed lets me log in fine now. Though EVERY time I go to MP it makes me enter my key. EVERY. TIME.

same here, make sure the firewall setting is ok,, porting is ok. should be no problem after reboot

Hey Crytek, is it too much to ask for you to actually make a game WORK before selling it to hundreds of thousands of people?

Yeah the mian issue of this thread is that the university blocks a port which we shouldnt even need to log in to the game considering its dedicated servers anyway...

A fix really should be able to be done easily....I play MMOs and other online FPS with no issues here. The one time I had an issue was with Rift when it was in beta, which they were able to fix with a patch. I don't see why the same deal couldn't be done here. Help us out Crytek, I didn't pay $60 for offline play only!

Same here, demo worked great all the way through but now I cant even log in at the start screen or multiplayer screen. Single player is VERY epic though. Will probably beat the whole thing before this gets fixed XD. Oh well, We have all the time in the world to play this game, or at least until BF3 comes out

I've been having that problem since the demo too, I can play all of my other games, even black ops after having to fix the windows compatibility issue with steam

What an irony. Such a high tech nanosuit 2 that they keep boosting about but failed miserably to a network connectivity issue.

Just last night it was all good to go for me, but now this exact ****.

What worries me is that I haven't heard any acknowledgment from anyone that they are even fixing this problem.
