"Please Check Network Connectivity" - Log in problem

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 3:15 am

They don't give a **** about it and about us... The bigger problem at this moment for this guys is the DX11 ****! I don't care about DX11 if I'm not even able to play the MP!

its doing my brain in now, ive spent ages trying to check the router opened up all fire walls blah blah blah but im glad im not alone in this issue, it would be nice if they sent out a massive email saying sorry or something at least, i will admit i got the demo off steam and didnt have a single issue with it but bought a hard copy of the game and nothing even if i try and create a new account in game if just freezes. fingers crossed it will be up and running soon. Almost wish id bought it on the ps3 now, its a joke spend all this money on a pc so everything looks and runs better and they dont really care, Crysis was one of the main reasons i got a decent gaming rig in the first place.

Guys, I have a solution, at least nothing but it helped me. IF you are using a router, make sure to disable DMZ. After that I was able to play 5 hours w/o even a single lag or disconnect. As to non-router users, I have no idea what to suggest.

Peace!

CRYSIS 2, Everytime I play multiplayer, it starts fine and I get between 1 minute and 10 minutes play. Suddenly the screen will go black for a few seconds and then I get the message " The connection to your opponent has been lost. You've been signed out." Then it goes all the way back to the initial log in screen. I AM NOT HAPPY!! The multiplayer demo was fine, no issues. The campaign was fine, no issues. S why do I get this everytime I try and play a multiplayer game??
I have 50meg broadband with an ethernet cable straight to fibre optic through Virgin Media. Have tried it with Firewall on and off, both the same.
I have Q6600, 4G of memory, GTX280 1G graphics... Should work a treat! It does on Campaign?
Do not have any issues with any other games.

I've been reading this post now since the game was released as i had the same error, tried all the quick fixes people have posted but like most of you i failed!

I thought that since its being run through Gamespy servers i will try downloading Gamespy Comrade, as it seems no one else had posted about it... Worked first time straight into multi-player. Give it a go

Hard to believe Crytek haven't responded to this and we have nothing more than a brief comment on an EA support site.

Being unable to log-in is one thing, but having it go on unacknowledged by the developer is ridiculous. Especially when every other issue seems to have a response.

Expected more off you guys, will be returning the game tommorrow. Shame that crysis 1 didn't make you bust.

I don't thinks its fixable guys... those of us with this problem are just **** outta luck. Its been a problem since the release of the demo, and they have yet to fix OR ACKNOWLEDGE the problem. That just screams "YOU'RE SCREWED"! HOW UNFORTUNATE.

hey crytek, just trying to alert you to what has to be coming up on being the largest thread on your forum that is not stickied.
the only response was from Cry-Tom, which is at the bottom of page four:
Hi guys, we're investigating this issue, i'll keep you updated with any developments.

and that was a week ago... so... yeah, um how about that update you told us about? honestly, any news at this point would be welcome... we have a solution we are testing it on various OS so that we release one complete fix, OR we are still trying to find a solution, OR reproducing this error is posing difficult, OR due to the rampant cheating in multiplayer we are focusing on fixing this issue first so that it is easier for us to find those who are cheating/pirating, OR due to the overwhelming cry for the need of dx11 we have devoted our staff towards solving this problem first as it will appeal to a wider customer range, OR we are sorry for the inconvenience we have cost you and in response we will be rewarding you with unlocks/double xp/something special to acknowledge that we dropped the ball here but we do value you as a customer and your patronage is welcomed, we appreciate your support and want you to know that we do indeed care about you and your needs as a consumer.

this is not a whine or complain thread (at least for the most part) this is a thread with people who legitimately purchased the game and cannot play it reporting the problem to you so that you may fix it, and we would like some notification that it will be fixed and hopefully a timeline in which we can expect it to get fixed.
