"Please Check Network Connectivity" - Log in problem

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 1:10 pm

An error has occurred. Check your network connection.
How long it will last? I was able to enter into a multiplayer only a couple of times all the time. Permanently at the entrance gives this message (subj). How long it will last, when everything is working? On Saturday, joined. On Sunday, no longer exists. Just on Friday there was no connection. And now is not connecting.
The problem is not exactly on my side, because everything else works fine. And steam and the general internet. Everywhere everything is fine, only then problems.

ps download the latest patch, but how had this problem remained. Answer clearly, why this happens and how soon will decide? I am not in a hurry, and wait a full correction of all frames. But at least tell me, is whether at this job?

Well, according to the packet dump, we are logging in into gamespy.com. All IP adresses that Crysis 2 is connecting to while logging in belong to IGN Entertainment and while establishing SSL session, the certificate is also issued to IGN Entertainment and valid for *.auth.pubsvs.gamespy.com.

In that case try installing the latest version of GameSpy Comrade and log in before launching C2. Once I did that I was able to get in.

I did it too, but only using Hotspot ( VPN ), but as I told before, in two states of Brazil we cannot reach the gamespy server, maybe they are on the on the blacklist or whatever. Anyway, using Hotspot I could log into Gamespy Comrade BUT NOT into the game. This is REALLY bizarre.

Could it be a problem connecting to akamai? Can people connect to akamai.cdn.ea.com.edgesuite.net?

I've put up a small program to test easily whether you are able to connect properly to this server. You can download it here: http://www.speedyshare.com/files/27796604/crysis2check.zip

You should receive one out of three messages: that everything worked properly, that you can connect to the server, but the connection ended abruptly (in which case you should be getting error about login details in game) or that you can't connect at all (resulting in "check your network connectivity" error).

http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=234804#p234804 - here you can download a small program that will test for you, whether your error is caused by this encryption key server.

Diabreu I tried to get in the game now, I could only enter the hostpot.
And yesterday he had managed without a doubt I think they are setting up or something like that.
Finally I can play with Hostpot but my ping is too high.
On the account to try creating a new game but with the parents the United States, and mail-EX: Hotmail, not e-mail from Brazil.
And after you see the forum on creating your account is updated as you passed the link on my last post, to see if your username is or appears gamesas

I think I fixed this. It's a firewall problem: you must create a rule for Crysis2.exe and Crysis2Launcher.exe in your firewall/antivirus and it seems is running. In the rule you must open the TCP and UDP ports used by the game. Then it's done. Run Crysis2Launcher.exe and it runs (anyway by me). The ports are specificated in the manual of Crysis 2.

So i will add my experiences here. For me, crysis works quiete good BUT I got two major problems...

1. I am getting kicked out of a mp match sooner or later. Enabling the DMZ mode in my router helped here a little bit but there are still few disconnects.

2. I also got the network connectivity bug -> always when I boot up my PC after a longer break. But when I restart my machine I can enter mp without any problems.

I tried to fix the following problems by doing these things.

- enabling DMZ in my router
- deactivating my win firewall completly
- Changing my win firewall options by going to win firwall - advanced options - "incoming rules" - giving both crysis2.exe files the possibility to use all ports (protocols and ports)

But like i said - it only helped to reduce the disconnects.

Other possibilities (not tested yet):

- manual port forwarding TCP: 64100("game" port), 6667, 29900, 2990, 28910 UDP: 27900, 27901, 64100
- For some routers you have to activate UPnP
- For the connectivity bug http://www.tobias-hartmann.net/2011/03/crysis-2-uberprufe-bitte-deine-netzwerkverbindung/ (sry its german)

Btw. I am from germany so dont be too harsh when it comes to my grammar....

I'm having this issue but it is not related to my firewall or router settings.

I'm concerned with the lack of technical help from staff as I haven't seen any posts about this issue from them apart from acknowledging that it exists as an issue and its an issue I had with the beta/demo and it persists.

Super disappointed. I haven't been able to play this online yet at all. I think its funny that no one from the company even really cares enough to post anything about this. I've tested my ports and they're 100% open. I know what I'm doing, yet it still doesn't work. I jumped through all the stupid hoops registering here and there, still have the network error. I think this is EA trying to put a nail in the coffin made for PC gaming, but i could be wrong...

I have the same problem. Seems if I try to reconnect 5 or 6 times I eventually get in, but I get booted from every server after about 10 minutes. I enabled DMZ on my router but I refuse to turn off windows firewall. I shouldn't have to do any of this. Been defending Crytek from the beginning but I'm beginning to get frustrated.
