"Please Check Network Connectivity" - Log in problem

Post » Tue Jun 21, 2011 10:49 pm

Well, I have news!
If you're getting connectivity error, the reason is: The IP of gamespy is on the Blacklist of our DSL provider.

Solution 1: Crytek, EA and Gamepsy do something about it, and ask for this companies remove them from the blacklist ( impossible ).

Solution 2: Download GameSpy Virtual Server...

Solution 3: Regret yourself for the death to have bought this ****...

Cry-Someone, please, advise...

Should we wait till gamespy change their IP servers numbers or just wait forever and never play MP?

Holy ****.
And now because it is blacklisted?
Apparently we will not play the game that our MP bought the original to play God now screwed

The DSL service is OI, and if you're from the South of Brazil ( Paraná / Santa Catarina ) you'll have the same problem. And all around the world too, some specific regions have the same issue. Waiting for orientation...

I doubt very much that they resolve this.
Because they are more concerned about getting into DX11, and the bug to create account gamesas.

Actually they have been slow to make a correction about the errors.
Better that way and not releasing crysis 3 or any other game of its PC business, why not just torrent aver profit.

We can call to our DSL provider ( i did 3 times ) and ask him to verify if the gamespy is on their blacklist, but brazilians are too dumb to understand what it means...

Not sure what any of it really means. I'm using a Virgin Mobile Broadband card atm (on my desktop), and I live in Michigan, US. Haven't been able to connect since I bought the game a few days ago. I also have a satellite connection I've tried to connect with, can't do it with that either. It's like the game doesn't even detect a connection, it just goes straight to the Please check network message... >_<

I got the fever! I want back in!

Spuratis, as I can see you're fine, make another test, just enter in http://www.gamespy.com and try to log in. If you're successful, your problem is with sharing options in your network, maybe firewall. But definitely not a serious problem like route.

Ahhhh, when I say successful in logging in on site, is just get a response, you can enter any account and password, for us with route problem, not even open the screen to select nick and pass...

Leeham, do the tracert test and gamespy website test.

I spent the first few days of last week being able to log in without problems and then suddenly on Saturday evening I found myself unable to log in anymore (after having logged in succesfully several times earlier in the day and without the PC having been switched off).

Nothing I've done seems to be able to fix this, including switching off software and hardware firewalls, setting port forwarding for all ports used by the game and gamespy services etc.

Well, I'm not sure if it's what you meant, but I went to http://www.gamespy.com and logged in to an account with no problems.

As far as sharing options go and what not, I have no idea how to change them... I've watched a few of the fixes and I just don't have the options that they are showing. My firewalls though, they are all open to crysis 2.. they asked me if I wanted to allow access when I started the game for the first time, I said always allow.. so I really don't think it's a firewall thing.

Spuratis, did you forwarded the ports? Cos if you can log in, probably there's another thing blocking the game, if you saw that video on youtube about sharing network and blablabla, and has no problems with firewall, try ports.

Ok, I just turned off firewalls completely, restarted the computer.. can't connect to game. OK, so which ports would I have to open? Someone mentioned the 64100 port earliar in the post, but I tried it and it did nothing. Then again, I may have done something wrong, since I only have a slight idea of what I'm doing when it comes to this stuff.

I'm on windows 7 and I just went start > control panel > windows firewall > advanced settings. Then made a new rule in inbound and outbound allowing the specific port 64100.. pretty sure I tried both tcp and udp, since I'm not sure which it is. If I'm doing something wrong, please tell me.. also, do you know the specific ports I should open? is there a list somewhere?

thanks in advance, I appreciate all the help..

The correct way is doing into your router. You can check in http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/
Otherwise, you can just put DMZ into your router, this way, all your ports will be opened.

Well, if you can log sometimes ( Dan ) it's up to Crytek/Gamespy to solve it. But as you can see, long ass time without any response from Crytek, only me trying to help...
