"Please Check Network Connectivity" - Log in problem

Post » Wed Jun 22, 2011 7:41 am

So i will add my experiences here. For me, crysis works quiete good BUT I got two major problems...

1. I am getting kicked out of a mp match sooner or later. Enabling the DMZ mode in my router helped here a little bit but there are still few disconnects.

2. I also got the network connectivity bug -> always when I boot up my PC after a longer break. But when I restart my machine I can enter mp without any problems.

I tried to fix the following problems by doing these things.

- enabling DMZ in my router
- deactivating my win firewall completly
- Changing my win firewall options by going to win firwall - advanced options - "incoming rules" - giving both crysis2.exe files the possibility to use all ports (protocols and ports)

But like i said - it only helped to reduce the disconnects.

Other possibilities (not tested yet):

- manual port forwarding TCP: 64100("game" port), 6667, 29900, 2990, 28910 UDP: 27900, 27901, 64100
- For some routers you have to activate UPnP
- For the connectivity bug http://www.tobias-hartmann.net/2011/03/crysis-2-uberprufe-bitte-deine-netzwerkverbindung/ (sry its german)

Btw. I am from germany so dont be too harsh when it comes to my grammar....

For everyone who can't "share" their internet via the network because the option in the properties of your network connection is missing.

1. Enable/activate your WLAN and your LAN connection (you need 2 connections for this I think)
2. Go to you connection which will be connected to the internet (in my case WLAN) and klick "bypass/to bridge(?)"
3. Now the sharing option should be available.
4. Share the connection and in some cases the error "an error accured..." will disappear.

For me this works perfectly...better than restarting my computer over an over again.

Ps: I am not shure about the words "bypass/to bridge" and "share" becaus i got a german windows. Perhabs somebody will translate it...

Okay Crytek, I've been relatively patient up to this point, but my patience is beginning to wear thin. I spent $60 on this game hoping to experience the fun multiplayer gameplay that I experienced in the demo (yes, I was able to connect to the demo, which I suppose gave me the false impression that I would actually be able to connect when the full game came out.) It's been over two weeks now, and I haven't even been able to sign in to multiplayer once due to the check connectivity issue. I have never had a problem like this with any other game. To call this disappointing would be an understatement of "maximum" proportions.

Now, I can't pretend I understand the complexities behind this problem, and as such it would be unreasonable for me to demand that you fix it immediately. I would like to demand my money back, but I seriously doubt you would oblige to such a request despite the degree of the problem. I was a fool to allow myself to be parted with my money so easily. I could go on, but I'll get to the point.

All I'm asking, Crytek, is that you talk to us. Tell us what you know about this problem. Do you know what causes it? What might fix it? Speculations are being hurled around by hordes of frustrated customers because you have yet to provide us with any concrete information. If anyone knows whats going on, it should be you, Crytek. So let us know. We payed for this game; if we can't play it we should at least have the right to know why. Do people like me have any chance of playing the multiplayer we were so looking forward to or should we give up hope? Talk to us, Crytek.
-If anyone from Crytek actually reads this, thanks for your time.

Why do I still see this error?
Internet works, everything is fine, but in game there is no connection, in other games normally connects. Played in the multiplayer game a couple of days ago.
Network connection in my LAN.

Same issue here. I was able to authenticate the key and login on the website but can't login in game. Running the recent 1.2 patch. Firewall is set to allow the game. My machine is in DMZ on router. The appropriate ports are forwarded on the router and modem. Running on Win7 64. Tried to access over WiFi and LAN, but no luck :( So, can't play the multiplayer mode. Please provide a fix/solution for this Crytek!

1) I bought Crysis 2 limited edition some days ago.
2) I registered account here.
3) Now I'm trying play in multiplayer mode.

When I'm typing my username, password, serial number below and click "login", I get message that "Error, Please your connection".
I turned off my virus protection software and firewalls, and I still can't play...

What should I do now?

We are closing in on three weeks since release. There should be something more than a "We know about it and will try to fix it" by now. If it's something that will take a long time to fix, let us know, CryTek! Honestly, this is a way more serious issue than the stuff you are actually addressing, e.g DirectX 11 support, as we CANNOT PLAY ONLINE. Let us know what's going on; I don't think that's an unreasonable request after almost three weeks of nothing.

Seriously, this issue is really pissing me off, I paid for this game so I can play multiplayer, and half of the time it does not work. Pathetic.

Hi @all ,

I've got two Installations of the Game in my Home Network. One at my computer running Win 7 64bit and the other on my son one with Win7 32 bit as OS on it. The Internetconnection for both is managed by a Fritz Box 7270 with all Ports open for the game.
Yesterday again I couldn't log in to the MP because of this "check your internet connection" issue. Even a restart, what sometimes helped, has failed and I can't log in MP.
Then my son tried the same at his computer (32bit) and could log in whithout a Problem. I couldn't believe it.
So we shut his PC down and turn back tn mine. Started Crysis again and ..."An error occurred! Please check your network" appears! It really pissed me off!
Could it be that there is 64bit incompatibility!

Hi guys,

Just to check, is this potential fix related to this issue?

Thanks!
