Please Crytek make a PS3 controller option to flip L1L2&R1R2

Post » Thu Dec 06, 2012 11:05 am

I just came on this forum specifically to complain about this, but I'm glam I didn't have to waist time making a topic. I don't understand why they didn't give us the option to use L2 and R2 in the first place. The same goes for DICE and the makers of Bullet Storm also.

At first I just hated using L1 and R1 because it felt unnatural. Now I hate it even more because I keep accidentally pressing the melee button while I'm shooting because of my finger placement and my aim is off all together.

Crytek please just give us a **** button layout patch.

I sure wish someone from Crytek would acknowledge this message and give some input.

CryNoss, You're the one whose gonna get deleted, you're imposing as a Crytek employee. Please read the forum rules. Also thanks for bashing, just another reason to get rid of you from the forum. Oh and thanks again for the free bump.

I sure wish I could Aim and Shoot with my pressure sensitive buttons.

Although, I'm sort of used to these triggers now - I know a couple of people who'd get the game if they could be flipped :-) BUMP!

IF a new patch is coming hopefully it will fix most issues people are talking about. however peoples request a controller change were R1 becomes R2 or something like that....yea i dont see that happening considering its not a glitch that needs to be fixed like alot of MP issues are.
just saying, but hopefully im wrong

Thats right it's not a glitch or an error, it's a simple request. A general quick fix which I have been proposing to Crytek since the PS3 beta. The squeekiest wheel gets the oil first.

man zito i just dont see it happening...i really hope it does you all have put in alot of work for it...but on top of their to do list? i doubt it. i think MP may be the squeekiest wheel here. on another note though i dont see why they couldnt throw it in in the next patch. if there will be one...i mean it has been a good while now.

I know that a patch can take up to a few weeks to go through development and approval. Or at least thats what Treyarch practices with Black Ops. No doubt the issues with matchmaking and host picking is way off. An additional controller option wouldn't take much time from them either. I'm still pushing to see it make it's way to the game. Their last update fixed the issue with crouching and using a sniper rifle. Surely they could get the time to make one more adjustment to their control scheme.

I would like to be able to completely customize the buttons, not just L()R(). Crouch, reload, jump have different needs in MP than from the SP mode. I haven't even started on MP yet because I played a couple of quick rounds and found myself struggling. I guess this is an advantage that PC will always have over console.

honestly me too i feel pretty passionetly about other fixes id like to see. so i know how you feel. a good AI tweak and a pistol silencer that wont disappear on the next play through would be nice for starters.
