Maybe that's the point? That they are suppose to be hard to get?

Saddens me when folks deliberately wants to use bugs.

Caps are easy to earn, especially if you stick to a couple of ammo types, I've invested max points into the scavenging perk for ammo and I've got thousands of 10mm, .45 ammo I don't even use, easy money.

Right... Nearly 12k here. Extremely easy to come by caps. But I sell the useless legendary armor I come across. I never take Chems so I craft super Chems and sell those to all the vendors. Everyone I come across I clean their Chen stash out. I have charisma maxed and am always successful when I'm in dialog and try to get more outta NPCs and such.

Instead of cap bugs just build up your settlements, get some water purifiers going and sell the purified water, decent way to make caps. Or just go a-huntin'

You really don't need caps for anything in the game. You know those 100 suits of T60 armor that you found? Trade them for whatever you want. Think barter more than standard currency.

I haven't really used caps for much of anything except to buy some ammo a couple of times when I was running low and maybe a few stim packs if they aren't showing up as loot for a while but I haven't bought any gear, guns or armor

If we spread this around the forums enough, maybe gamesas will include one in a DLC or in Fallout 5?

All bugs need to be fixed. And if are that hard up for caps use the console. If you on PC. If not..well.. bugger.

But please, fix all bugs.

hit the tilde key and type in player.additem 00f 1

that will give you 1 cap, which if you type it in enough times eventually you can get 100 caps.

Shesh

Vault 111 loot every room down there, you should have at least 2 10 mm guns and 2 batons

Topside, loot everything, there's loot in several locations including a couple of crates, then head down to sanctuary.

Let cogsworth search around then look for a root cellar, you will find a reference to one specific fallout new Vegas DLC

in fact loot all of the buildings, there is another safe with a booby trap that is fairly easy to deal with.

Follow the road out of town. There is a mailbox/ trashcan looking container just short of the bridge with a couple of grenades, and theirare 2 body's just across the wood bridge.
Loot them.

Head over to red rocket, deal with the dog however you like. Loot everything.

Now just from that you should have over 1200 in caps worth of loot, and at least 4 guns in 2 diferent caliber but no place to sell off

I recommend just storing most of the loot for now, and look to see what mods you can do on one gun.

Rename that gun as follows

-10mm pstl name
-32. Ppstl name

The special character will give a quick way to sort customized weapons so you know what you have and can quick compare them.

Note there is a cave nearby with some loot, and outside that cave close by is a building with more loot, in fact you need to get into the habit on checking places for loot.

Edit note thanks odd Donny for reminding me of something I straight up forgot. I suspect grenades in unusual containers right out of the vault is officially a thing in fallout

If he wants to cheat his single player game, let him. Why you need to be sad over something like that is quite perplexing.

Some bugs or glitches, if fixed, would trigger endless whining from folk who use them to 'cheat' the game,

on the basis that you 'can't cheat in a single player game'.

I don't understand the point of cheating either, but it's a view...

I almost wish I hadn't found out about this bug, now everytime I meet some vendor that has a cool shiny looking item that I want, I'm either super tempted to exploit it to get the thing, or I do exploit it to get the thing.

Also ammo. I do it too much just to get free ammo. :(

Huh... I've encountered legendary ghouls, legendary deathclaws, even legendary radroaches, but I've yet to find even a single item of legendary weapons or armor. Frankly, I didn't even know there IS such a thing. I guess that means I could sell it all (or just give it away) and never miss it...

:bonk:
