Please Don't Let The PS3 Owners Get The Second Hand Treatmen

Post » Wed Apr 28, 2010 11:16 pm

I don't know what PS3 owners have to cry about. They have some amazing titles and they don't have to pay for their network. Also you guys can use keyboard and mouse for shooters. Us xbox guys can't. I don't even want to hear about it.

I feel sorry for you guys that buy consoles for hundreds of dollars, just to have the privilege of paying more to run multi-platform games on 5-year-old hardware. To fix that, use all the money you would've spent on consoles to get a decent PC.

Lets not forget the $50 a year Xbox users pay to connect their 5-year old hardware to the internet, through their own connection.

yeah thats true , but as a console gamer i can play every game to bel be released on that system. Games from this year, year before , and next year will work same well. My PC bought same time as ps3 wont run any games released nowadays. To keep up with games progress I would have to buy new PC every year, lol!!! Thats true meaning of being shifted on something.

I think you probably bought a PC for £100 by the sound of this. The system requirements of new titles only change slightly from their predecessor's and a decent PC has the capability to cope with the change.

LOL. I have decent PC . cost me about 500 pounds 2 years ago. Wont meet recent requirements for new Crisis.
required change is enough to force me to buy new graphic card/ more memory/ new this new that. This is a simple extortion ,imo. Anyway my point is - for 250 pounds i have a device ( console) able to play any game released for it now and in future. To have PC being hipothetically able to play games in 4 , 5 years time i would have to spend 2000 pounds , assuming technology wont change the way it changed in recent times.

Really if I had 2000 to spend , I would spend it on car or motorbike, not on piece of welded silicon and cables.

I am not trying to start any stupid discussion. People have their own opinion and preferences. Consoler players think the way I am, pc players think the way shown in posts above. We can safely assume that we send our message across and focus on the main subject of the thread, eh?

Like 200 and you don't have to upgrade or worry about it getting a virus.

The Crysis franchise has made a habit of creating graphics that you can only max out with a supercomputer, so using it as an example rings quite hollow. I spent $600 (somewhere around 1/3 less than your 500 pounds) 3 years ago on a computer and it can still max out some games made today. Even if I don't max graphics out, I can always get better more reliable performance than the 360 or PS3 can, in the same games.

Yes, you're right, there are reasons to get a console - the largest being exclusive games (which is why they make exclusive games). But if you cant make your computer last more than 2 years in that price range, you need to do a virus scan and software tune-up, regardless of your preference on platforms.

Who cares about the Wii?

Well at least you get blue-ray. I thought that was the deal PS3 users made due with.

Luckily for you Brink is having a PS3 exclusive closed beta of Brink to work on the buggy PS3. Stupid buggy PS3.

No, Blu-Ray is a bonus. You can't excuse away RRoD with "But we get Halo". It's a flaw, and that one's Microsoft's fault. PS3's flaw is that it's apparently hard to program for. Sony's fault.,\

i feel sorry for you guys getting shafted on black ops, to fix that go buy a 360

Great! I needed a new pinata!

Yes. You guys have a lot to deal with. But PS3 gets DLC late and it's widely known how the CEO of Activsion has battled with Sony. PS3 is the bastard stepchild of the family.

You do realize that PC gets DLC late too, right?

but they also have community mods, and a lot of DLC tends to be free.
