Absolutely - I should have mentioned it. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25591 When I finally had enough of the CharGen dungeon, I tried a variety of start mods; this is - by far - my favorite. Make sure you read the readme, because it spells out some pretty vital info - like when you do finally leave the dungeon, you have a bounty on your head ('cause, you know, you're an escaped prisoner). Kinda cool ....
I'm working on a mod - I need to get Tungol's permission before release - that would expand the start points to over 100. You could start by dining at the King and Queen or working for the Countess in Chorrol. If I can get the scripts to work, the choice you make will determine what you get - how much money, armor, clothing, etc.
But, as it is, it's still pretty cool.

This is a GREAT mod. Thanks ever so much for the link-- it's easily the best alternate start I've seen.
As long as I'm here--
I start new characters all the time, so I've done most of the early quests over and over and over again. And I really have to say that the only one that seems like complete drudgery is Unfriendly Competition. It's not the quest itself-- it's just all the standing around you have to do along the way.
The rest of them really don't bother me much. The backing and forthing for the Bravil MG recommendation is a bit of a hassle, as well as the backing and forthing south of Chorrol (for the Jemanes and Dar-ma and Fathis Ules), but I don't mind them much.
Honestly, I think I get some sort of satisfaction out of running the same quests over and over with different characters, different approaches, different strategies. I often find myself at a point with a character at which I've finished up all the MG recs and gotten Azura's Star and done a bunch of enchantments and custom spells and then I just sort of sit here and think, "Okay..... what now? I know! I'll start a new character!"
