Yes, I'd feel so bad for this guy.
Please don't release a Special Edition.

Maybe you should have thought of that first :P

I want to see this guy punished! Release a super awesome CE for less than the standard edition!

Can't you change your preorder to special edition once it's announced?

Simple solution then. Cancel your pre-order and get the CE like a lot of us.

Please don't release a special edition I already pre-ordered the game.

As a former Gamestop employee, I should tell you you can move the money from one pre-order to another. I also have pre-ordered Skyrim, and if a SE is announced I will move the pre-order.

This is your own fault, nothing made you pre-order so early. Maybe they'll let you upgrade if it comes out.

Well the thing is the Game Stop website made it very clear that once you order you can't cancel your order....really bad Idea.

 Whatever you do don't expect any sympathy on this God forsaken forum of bitter and twisted souls. (Myself as a reference here). :shakehead:

Seriously, can't you cancel a pre-order?

Good luck.

Edit: Oh dear. Well maybe you can change an order to the special edition? You could try a email to customer support. The bottom line is they want your money, so if you enquire whether you can change rather than cancel I'm sure they'll try to help you.

... ok.

So... if you have ordered the game they shouldn't release a special edition because... you would have already spent your money... even if Bethesda would lose a lot of money not releasing a badass (and desired) special edition...

... ok.

You are very bored, expecting the new HUB update and you start this "interesting" topic, isn't it?

Look I really, really don't like being rude, but this has to be the most pointless thread imaginable. Use the search, find a thread on special editions and post on there. Sorry, but it had to be said.

A little harsh isn't it, wanting dude to be punished for his pre-order? He could always go to where he pre-ordered and ask if he could upgrade his order to the special edition if they release one. I know that Gamestop will.

I'm not going to order until I see the contents of special edition. So I can see what's inside etc I REALLY regret not buying FO:NV collectors edition, freakin' poker chips a platinum poker chip, a comic playing cards of the characters and such, I also wish I bought FO:3 special edition a pip-boy alarm clock a art book and a vault boy bobble head :(. So i'm not going to take any chances this time.

I don't understand the point of this thread.

Isn't every single Triple-A title released with some sort of special edition or collector's edition? In addition, there will probably be at least one Digital Special Edition (I'm planning to buy this version) with the extra content available for download and some sort of extra in game item(s), maybe multiple versions depending on where you buy it from and how early you pre-order, as was done with New Vegas.

Were you thinking that there would be just one version of the game?

Wait, I go back on this. A single fan has already pre-ordered the regular edition. Rather than allow him to feel unhappy because other people have it, nobody should be allowed to get any SE. Should I even bother putting "/sarcasm" here?

I know gamestop will allow to swap over to the collector's edition when it comes out because A. Other people in this thread have stated that. And B. Gamestop and every other retailer for that matter, are in the business of making money. They will gladly let you pay them more. :grad: Nuff' said. :)

You can always cancel your pre-order. It's not like your legally bound by it.
