DLCs are or adding additional content, not for "finishing" the game. I personally hope for some DLCs to add to the finished game and I do hope patches will be released if issues arise after release. It is impossible for games to be tested with every possible config possible and I've never seen a perfect game released. I have confidence this game will rock upon release.
Yup, this is pretty much right. Honestly imo, the game can lack abit content wise, because that can EASILY be made up with DLC. If the core of the game is screwed up, thats something that cant just be fixed. I'm not talking "minor bugs" that are patchable, i mean things that should have been fixed, or done right while the game was being made, such as game breaking glitches (think mass effect on PC, that needed a patch just to WORK), lack of core fundamentals, such as perfectly feasible, yet dropped features. (for example, if they dropped SMART because they didnt have time to finish it) or just leaving something half assed (like leaving levels with massive graphical artifacts).
Long story short, the game ITSELF is whats important, not little tid bit addons that dont change anything and can be slapped in later, and if something NEEDS to be done/fixed, they should well have the time to do it right. I'll gladly wait any amount of time for a game thats well polished, so long as they dont go all Huxley and just never release because they couldnt get some one's fingernails right or somethin...
