Wolf - 1 shot - 10 xp
Blue super mutant - 5 shots and a flamer round, takes off half health before downing him - 10 exp
Ghoul - melee attacks and lunges - 10 exp
Merc/bandit - Guns, distance, grouped - 10 xp each
Lone bug that does nothing - 50 exp.

Really?

I'm curious as to the accuracy of these comments. Is XP truly reliant on difficulty, or the amount of shots used etc?

Or am I being subjected to "trollan" as it is known on the interweb?

I might be wrong, but it seems like if you kill more of the same kind of enimies, you get more exprerience. I get more from bugs than anything else. I killed more bugs than anything else, too.

That lone bug was probably one of those Cazavores or whatever. They're hellish - if you don't kill them with your first shot.

Still, yeah, you should probably get more than 10xp for killing a Nightkin.

Im playing it on normal. I read that in FO3 exp scalled with difficulty. I heard that in NV they changed that.

That's strange because i get different exp from most mobs. But i think it depends on your level also, i have noticed that killing extremely hard mobs gives 50+ exp where the easier range from 10-30. I kill everything, if it does have something to do with the amount of kills on something i wouldnt know honestly because anything that is red dies with me.

There is nothing wrong with the exp balance. The bugs are Cazaors (Or whatever their called) they hit hard and if their is 3 of them or more your done unless your at a high level.
