Can we slow down on the posts i mean its like 2 new RPs every day, then another 5 short stories, can we please have quality instead of quantity, there are so many new posts every day its starting to become a chore to read them all, please tell me what you think and how we should act, i know its a bit [censored]y to ask for only like 3 rps running at once but seriously its starting to tick me off....

Like it or not this is a public forum. As far as fan fictions go, that's what this board is for. There can be as many fanfics as anyone damn well pleases. RP's, on the other hand, could probably be cut back. I mean, especially ones that are just clones of old and dead ones. Part 2, Part 3, Part 7 etc.

I understand what DeadlySin means and I agree. This is out of hand, I think we should make sure no one else does a single RP from this point on. It's just to much for everyone to keep up with.

fan fics are ok, they are good but i mean RPs there are SO MANY, fan fics are the life blood of this board and what it should be, but Rps are just so [censored] big and numerous, i remember when i first started there was about 3 going, Mad maxes, and Dr strangeloves and one other one that was when this was good, but there are like 7 rps at once, i suggest we do something like a list of them, and when they finish one whole thread they get one more to wrap it up, then someone else who has an idea requests that they can be allowed to post theirs if its good and looks like its got some potential but there are just so frakking many!

It could work, though you still can't control people, and lots of people would just come in and create new ones anyway. You'd have to have a few people decided about which RP's were kept active at the time, and then have people that want to be serious RPers sign up and promise to adhere to your rules.

i dont want to make rules i just want people to realise how annoying it is that there are 8 new rps every time i come on, and other people must realise this aswell but i mean just some common courtesy about posting?

another sticky like "So you think you can RP" about like being kind to people who are here alot cos its annoying, but i dont want to stop people posting, just slow it down to a treacle instead of torrents...

If you don't have a set of guidelines/rules people won't know that they are supposed to do this or that. I doubt the moderators would put this into the so you think you can RP thing either. Its not an official rule so it doesn't belong there. Maybe if someone makes a new RP we could just say that we have to many on atm and to make it when less are going on or something?

I think the RP's could be cut back a tad, but it might be hard to 'police'. Also I think RP's should be limited to serious RP's and not 'over the top' which alot are. Like 'billy pulled out his sniper and shot 50 people in the head, then grabbed his knife and cut 20 people's throats, and was home for breakfast', bit over the top if you ask me.

I love reading people's Fan Fics, thats what its all about.

I also love RP's (when theres one worth joining and if it doesn't go off the tracks or over the top) because thats just like a Fan Fic, made by a bunch of different people instead of just one,

I think the Rp's on here could be cut back quite a bit actually. There are some, that should have ended two or three threads ago. Actually, I think we should have more stories on here, rather than Rp's. Like 60/40, or something like that.

I agree with DeadlySin, that it seem's there is an Rp everytime you log on. And they all begin to mesh together, story and theme. I'm actually tired of seeing BOS and Enclave Rp's. I liked it better when the Rp's were dealing with some no name wastelander or someone like that, and was thrusted into some predicament. Or a Regulator or someone like gathering a team to kick some Raiders ass? I think we can calm down on the Rp creations.

By the way when I said 'RP's could be cut back a tad', I was indeed being sarcastic. I think they could be really be cut down in quantity.

Also... There was a thread started called 'RP Recruitment' or something like that, and maybe if someone wanted to, they could make like a 'RP Registrar' type thing. Where the current active RP's could be listed and talk about what RPs will be next on the agenda. I don't know. Just an idea.

EDIT: That's also why I've been writing more stories (No one seems intersted) rather than Rp's.

I'll admit that A Different Land went on longer then expected, and didn't expect that it would be that long when I started.

It's true you can never actually tell how long an Rp is going to drag on, but when creating an Rp or Story, you should have a fair idea of how long you want it to be, and that's why you make the events so. Is so it climbs to a climix, and finishes off well.

Maybe have a limit of 2 threads for an Rp, usually thats how long they last.

Yeah, I was also thinking I was dragging CS on a bit lately. Do you think we should end CS 3?

Two is the best, but maybe going into three will be okay, you just may need that little bit extra to finish off.

I think I may have a look back into the fan fic I started awhile ago, got caught up doing other things so didn't get far in it. It was suppose to be done like a diary as the character records events.

@M'heree: I think CS3 should be ended to be honest. It would be fun, but Rp's shouldn't really be turned into a series like on T.V. or something like that.

@Blackmane: If its a story that you left a while back, I would probably leave it alone. It's not very good to get back into something that's old and hasn't been on the first page for sometime. And if its a Rp, just leave it alone. Don't bother with it, it'll either grow into something out of hand, or become pointless to continue, and you really don't want either oth those.

I've never posted it, so I would't really be bringing something back to the front page.

Actually, I hope Ben the Butcher isn't posted on again like before. I wish people would pay attention to my most recent story, and just let my other stories die!

I agree that it would be nice to have like only 3 Rps running but its something thats hard to put into play. I don't mind whether it be BOS raider or what ever I just go for the story lines. So I'm a maybe.

It's worse as, no offence intended, but the majority of posters on here (rp wise) svck, they post too often and too short. Instead of one or two a day decent sized ones they seem to post like eight oneliners inside a half hour, if you've got nothing to post, don't post. Yes there are some good people here (MAX, M'heree etc.) but still......

And yes origional RP's an Fan fics is what we need, that's what I tried to do with RoA, but it got so bogged down with one-liners and enclave radios uber crap I had to get it locked

Yeah, I mean I'm not great so I'm not going to bad mouth any other rp-ers directly but after sifting through the FIVE PAGES that you guys posted in SEVEN HOURS, firstly it didn't make sense, secondly most of it was either crap or you guys yelling at enclave radio for pulling uber [censored] like sneaking through an entire chinese base and killing like twenty americans before you guys had left the chopper

Im probably part of the problem here rather than the solution due to me not having the follow through for Fan Fics, but I agree and try to only have one going at a time, two max.

I do agree on the one liners if anyone comes on Uprising (Which will end WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before a thirs thread is nessercay) and posts one line thier getting the boot.
