So I pre-order the Crysis 3 Hunter version on Origin, install the original Crysis and all I get when I boot that up is a black screen and "Crysis has stopped working".

I do some research on the web and it turns out tons of people can't get Crysis to work on W7 and W8. I tried:

- running compatibility mode
- grabbing a Bin64 folder and trying that .exe (risky I know)
- deleting the Mygames save folder

Nothing, and from what I gather the Cryboys aren't about to patch Crysis one. I love it how they give away a "free" game that just isn't compatible with current operating systems.

Anyone got a spare miracle laying around that could fix this? Or did I just get boned on the pre-order?

I have crysis on steam and origin neither one works. I bought the retail version and it works fine on windows 7 64bit.
The only difference is retail has 64 bit exe. 32bit should work but for some unknown reason it doesnt.
I tried adding the bin64 (renamed bin32) to the steam version, it worked but occasionally crashed.
