Please Help Crytek could care less. Freeze after click MP

Please help this is where my freeze occurs. After clicking on multiplayer nothing happens. The screen no longer does the 3d tilt. I was able to play for about 3 hours earlier yesterday and a week ago every thing was great. The mouse is still responsive after the freeze, but I have to ctrl alt delete to back out and end process from the task manager. Steam becomes unresponsive also from time to time. 9 times out of 10 I have to force a shut down and restart in order to try again. Anybody got a fix?

quad core 2.5, win 7 64, 8gb, 9800gt. Steam version.

Also none of the onscreen selections are responsive after multiplayer has been clicked. Mouse pointer will still move only. Prior to clicking multiplayer I can select single player and the game will play fine.

Someone cares :)

Hey guys,

I've just personally tested a work around for this issue and confirmed that it works. So if you're getting this issue please try the following:

1) Start Crysis 2 as per normal and get into the main menu.
2) BEFORE you click on "Multiplayer" (where the crash occurs), alt+tab back into Windows.
3) Open up your Network properties and disable your network adaptor. (instructions)
4) Go back into the game and click on Multiplayer, it should successfully load the next screen without crashing.
5) Alt+tab back to Windows and re-enable your network adaptor.
6) Go back into the game and start playing.

This issue is related to heavy firewalls that isn't allowing the game to communicate properly but that should sucessfully bypass the error and allow you to play online. A proper fix for this is coming soon but give this a go in the mean time and let us know your results!

Yea its ok I just tried again for good measure, and it just froze again. Any way appreciated. Hopefully sometime this year crytek will address my problem, and if I am lucky people will still be playing the game so I can get my moneys worth out of it. I even disabled my firewall and it did nothing.
