I have been playing the Fallout series since the original on the CPU. Luckily up until now I have escaped any glitches on any of the franchise games. Right now, p*zzed is a nice way to put it. I tend to stray from the main storyline and just wander around and do all the side missions and discover the wasteland. The glitch that has me is the Hanlon glitch after you say you plan to turn him in. I leave the office to find a Ranger and he locks the door. And.... And... And.... Nothing. I have left my guys outside. I have restarted. I have cleared the cache and loaded. If I do not apply the patch the game freezes. If I apply the patch the glitch happens again. VERY FRUSTRATED right now.

Please advise.

I have the same issue. He's SUPPOSED TO shoot himself (so I've read). The best Iv'e gotten was talking over the PA and a few seconds later an achievement (but the door was still locked). That was after quite a few tries. Even when I used C4 to give him a "helping hand" I just ended up failing. I did notice that he didn't have a gun on his person, in inventory or holstered on his side, so I shot him and he pulled a gun out but then he still didn't follow through. From my understanding this has been like this since the game's release and has yet to be fixed.
