Please help OBSE CDT and no launch

Hello there

I have no idea if this is the correct forum but I have reinstalled Oblivion after a long time, well the advent of Skyrim and the purchase of a new graphics card has rekindled my interest in the game. The new card (GTX 460) can now support a more pretty game than the one my old card could so ive opted for OBGE and OBSE this time round, I didnt before! Problem is once ive patched up the game (Vanilla/KoN/SI) and added all the unofficial patches plus mods (OOO/MMM/COBl etc) the game will not launch via any launcher be it OBMM or OBSEloader or the normal one. I am pasting the log I get in the OBSE txt file. Id appreciate any help as I am desperate to see Cyrodill with my new card. Many thanks!!!!

If it helps I'm on Windows 7 and not installed game in programme files. Game run just fine just after all main and unofficial patches were installed so problem must lie in mod order, mod clash or I am doing something incredibly stupid with OBSE or OBGE

I have tried removing some of the above and no luck.

As to the bashed patch I wouldn't know where to start!?!?!? Any tutorials of Idiots Guide out there?

Have you tried deleting the Oblivion.ini in My Documents/My Games/Oblivion and let the game generate a new one on startup?

Pretty sure this requires that you have Blood & Mud installed. Could be causing your insta-crash.

I haven't used RealSwords, but I seriously doubt that you are supposed to be using all of those plugins. I would assume you are supposed to chose the HI version or the LO, not both.

For future reference, a crash on start up typically indicates that there's a missing master file. It's not the only thing that can cause that problem, but it's definitely the most common one. So next time it happens to you, double check your mods to make sure you have all that you need.

first of all, you need only to use on realswords esp, are the LO are HI, so disable on set of them,
MMM is the same, you have NO set, Les set and increase set, disable 2 sets of them.

then run Boss and read everything that is on there, and more important is, that you need to do what is in there.
so if boss is saying you need to use another esp for example then do that :)
it will help you allot .

I have uninstalled everything Oblivion related from my system. I am going to try one more time, if not I'll give up. Its been over a year since I played Oblivion, I had it down to a tee then!! Deadly reflex flags up red on OBMM, does it clash with OOO in any way?

Nope, DR works fine with OOO. Suggest you use DR5, more stable and easier on your sanity. And you *really* should use Wrye Bash, at least the bash patch.

That won't work very well if you just do the same thing again (make the same mistake twice).

What I notice is that you seem to have "installed" MMM without any regard for its correct installation procedure.

First and most important, missing masters:

Mart's Monster Mod for Fran.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - Fran's leveled quests.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - Friendlier Factions MMM+Fran.esp

These require Francesco's Leveled Creatures and Items, which you don't have. Get rid of the MMM esps requiring it, or get Frans.

Then you have a number of either/or plugins installed, but instead of choosing one or the other, you have both (which I know from experience MMM really does not like)

Mart's Monster Mod - Less Reavers.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - No Reavers.esp

Mart's Monster Mod for OOO - LessReaversInGates.esp
Mart's Monster Mod for OOO - NoReaversInGates.esp

Mart's Monster Mod - Less Rats.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - No Carrion Rats.esp

Mart's Monster Mod - Less Bone Loot.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - No Bone Loot.esp

Mart's Monster Mod - Spawn Rates - Increased.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - Spawn Rates - Moderate Increased.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - Spawn Rates - Reduced.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - Spawn Rates - Reduced Reduced.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - Spawn Rates - Reduced Vanilla.esp

Mart's Monster Mod - Diverse Runeskulls Loot.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - Diverse Runeskulls Loot G&GD.esp
Mart's Monster Mod - Diverse Runeskulls Loot OOO.esp (since you have OOO, you should be using this version, not the others)

All of these groups should only have one of the group installed, not all.

I would also wonder if you correctly renamed the MMM BSA (but since MMM probably fell over the missing Frans, you never even got to see the missing resources).

If you reinstall MMM, I would strongly suggest that you also get OBMM and the MMM omod installation files (see the MMM thread for the link), and install MMM via the OMOD installation script. That should prevent installation of conflicting files. You also need a Bashed Patch, desperately.

Try installing according to what that mod does. Install FCOM last. Use Wrye Bash, the bashed patch makes all kinds of nice merges possible increasing compatibility. Install ONE MOD AT A TIME, check for good play...usually a ten minute romp and fast travels and menu operations is what I do. And continue when you get good play. INSTALL WRYE BASH!! lol

A lot of the mods on the above list where unticked as i just copied and pasted the list in BOSS thinking only the activated mods would have been listed, guess I was wrong and all mods were listed!
