Please help me- some questions...

Im a total modding noob.

Are there any good mesh fix textures? Often when running around the world the rocks etc.. and my character in 3rd person will glitch, like the polygons making up the world dissapear.

So I recently got Morrowind Patch project, put the extracted folder in my MW data folder.. BUT, the readme says it will only work with bloodmoon and tribunal installed.. I dont want to run them yet, cant I use it then?

Is there a journal cleanup mod? ie delete old quests etc..

Any other essentials for a new morrowind playing mod noob with a crappy old laptop?

thanks

im doubtful of there being a journal clean up mod, but i think there is some form of journal sorter built in, if not added by bloodmoon/tribunal.

and im fairly confident that you would need tribunal and bloodmoon if the patch says it requires tribunal and bloodmoon :P

Yes im aware of the tribunal journal mod but I dont want to be attacked by assassins every night :(

Are there any other texture/mesh smoothing mods which dont require expansions?

If that's your only objection to Tribunal, there are http://search.yacoby.net/?name=%2Bdelayed+%2Battack&author=&description=&game=MW that delay the DB attacks.

Tribunal will fix up the journal. It's just a good idea to install Tribunal and Bloodmoon so you get all the fixes and engine enhancements from Bethesda, and you can also install all the MW user community patches that depend on GOTY.
