Please help. Trying to stop constant attacks

Post » Thu Sep 10, 2015 8:32 am

I have tried for ages but can't seem to stop being attacked by all parties in all towns no matter where I go. I don't recall doing any crime but may have. Have read about surrendering to guards but they don't give opportunity to. Just straight out attacking including civilians. Was just about to give up as I am frustrated playing it now. Have also tried putting my weapon away but they keep attacking. Also don't even know where I could have committed crime. Would appreciate any assistance. Cheers

Are you a stage 4 vampire without Dawngard installed? That will turn everyone hostile.

Yes I am a vampire, again not sure when or how. Level 9. Sounds like you are on the track then. Any advice on how to stop? I tried going back quite a few saves ago but must have happened quite early on.

your gonna have to feed to suppress the Vamprism.. find a sleeping NPC, and you should have the option to feed..

after feeding, it should revert you back to stage 1 vamprism, and NPCs won't attack you if your only stage 1 (they only attack at Stage 4.. unless you have the dawnguard DLC, then they will not attack at all)..

afterwards, if you want to get rid of the vamprism altogether, talk to an inn keeper after reverting to stage 1, he should direct you to a quest to cure it

An NPC is a Non-Player Character. Every humanoid actor in the game who isn't you.

Spoiler
After feeding on a sleeping NPC, visit the inn keeper in Morthal. Ask her if she's heard any rumors and she'll direct you to the quest with Fallion on curing your vampirism. Then just go from there. He will perform a ritual which will require a filled black soul gem.

FYI, I always carry at least one cure disease potion with me. After fighting any vampire it's always a good idea to check to see if you've contracted vampirism. If you drink the potion or pray at any shrine it will cure you as long as youre not a stage 1 vampire.

I don't know about others on here but I've found the quest that gets Falion to "devampirise" you (Raised at Dawn or something like that) really annoying, for example I find him only to find out I don't have a filled black soul gem, or I'm too blood starved or have gone to the spot where he does the ritual too late or early. What I did on my current playthrough was to do the vampire Dawnguard quest line finishing with a couple of blood potions so that if Falion says I haven't fed enough I can drink one without having to hunt for someone who's sleeping to feed on.

Hi Wineguru - you contracted vampirism while fighting vampires. There's something like a 10% chance that you get it. Once infected, you'll see some warnings while you play. For example, when the sun comes up, the screen will become hazy and red for a few seconds. There'll be a message saying something like 'You feel a strange weakness as the sun rises'.

You can check the Active Effects menu - all diseases are listed in red. You can cure yourself of any disease by drinking a potion of Cure Disease, by getting blessings from a Vigilant of Stendarr (who are usually wandering around the world so kind of hard to find) or by praying at any shrine. For example, there's that preacher in Whiterun, up by the palace, next to that big tree, and he's standing in front of shrine of Talos. Just go up to the Shrine until you see the 'Activate' option. Do it and you're cured. The cure for stage 4 vampirism is more involved, but all the earlier stages can be cured at a shrine

Good luck!
