I never played a game like this and decided i wanted to rp and write lore/backround for my guy. Can you ask me a good list of questions i can really use to start my base of lore or give me examples?

- What were you doing trying to cross the border into Skyrim? What were you going to do there?

- What do you know about that area of Tamriel? What have you heard in terms of legends, habits etc.?

- What is your opinion of other races, so far as your character have experienced?

- What do you think of the Empire? Good? Bad? A necessity? Oppressors? Liberators?

What does your family, if any, do for a living? Are they wealthy? Are you used to a high class lifestyle or are you gutter trash and proud of it? Your past experiences with wealth usually determine how you handle money in your present life.

What is your take on mages? In other parts of Tamriel they are more common, but in Skyrim they aren't exactly loved. Do you admire them? Want to be one? Want to slaughter every magic using milkdrinker you see?

What do you think of people that beg for help? Should these whiners get any sympathy from you at all unless they offer good payment, or is it your duty as a hero to help everyone that requests it?

What do you think of the Dunmer migration? Should they have stayed and died in Morrowind when Red Mountain blew its top? Maybe Skyrim is better off with them? Maybe YOU are a Dunmer...how does that change things?
