The game is great I am enjoying everything that the game has to offer one problem the melee animations are kinda lacking I have to say that they need improving I just hope the npc collision helps.

Being more specific might be helpful to the devs.

They feel fake. Your character draws a two-handed sword as fast as he/she draws a dagger. There's no sense of "weight" with your character basted on their equipment.

I love the game as well and am not sure if animations (the sword draw being one example) can be improved upon, but if they could that would be amazing as that was the first thing I noticed as well OP.

Yes I should of been more specific but Bayon has got the right of the melee weapons don't have the omph or the weight behind it. Its like you are slashing air.

They are already fixed mate. It was one of the big changes announced in the latest build. We're stress testing an old build so a lot of the good stuff and fixes aren't in it.

Animations
Collision detection
Combat sounds
Start Island skip

but I think archery improved a bit - when I shoot the trajectory is not straight but more like parabolic.

still archery seems to have too short range.

Can I get a link to an official post stating these things? Not that i'm calling you a liar, just that I know rumors spread like wildfire.

I noticed that when you press Z to take out and put away your weapon, it looks good but when it does it automatically (pressing mouse button, weapon swap, opening doors, talking to NPCs, etc.) it's like the animation is sped up unnaturally fast. I guess for quicker gameplay or something. I personally could wait an extra quarter second if it looked better but would rather it didn't auto sheathe at all when you interacted with things. That would be quick for gameplay and not look bad.

Sure mate. I'm on my phone now but this was the first copy of the notes I could find.

There was a blacksmithing video released by the devs a while ago, and it included a small bit of combat with some tigers and you can see the collision, flinching and blood animations in action for a few seconds.
