To let understanding stop at what cannot be understood is a high attainment. Those who cannot do it will be destroyed on the lathe of heaven.

Halberds and Polearms haven't been confirmed nor denied yet, so they are still up in the air. I've heard nothing about crossbows though.
Also, for close-minded people. A spear is not a Polearm, nor is it a Halberd. All 3 are completely different weapons, with similarities.

Spears are not in, crossbows are not in but it's all but confirmed that polearms are in. Crossbows don't need to be in because they are impractical weapons for active combat and spears have an inherent issue in combat that needs to be balanced.

No offense but I don't trust articles in other languages, to many translation errors.

A crossbow would be weird, you don't need agility or strength to use a crossbow is like a gun in a way i don't think you can balance a crossbow on a TES game, you only use strength to pull the string in to position, but of course this is just my opinion :turtle:

Not directed at you but I'd like to point out that polearms aren't a specific thing.

Edit- so yes I guess they are TECHNICALLY in the game.

Would you prefer whining about no more attribute threads?

Oh, nevermind to you then.

But since crossbows take a long time to reload, wouldn't it be wierd to use them in one on one, head on combat?

This is actually the typical reaction to crossbows, throwing weapons and spears. No one used them in Morrowind and everyone complained they were useless or not fun to use and then when they were removed, people hold them in such high esteem as if they were the greatest thing since sliced bread.

But as I said earlier, crossbows were confirmed to be not in and spears are confirmed to not be in. However, throwing weapons we have no idea about and when Todd said "There won't be spears in the tradition sense" he might have meant throwing spears like in NV.

Same here. I hate variety. Where is Todd Howard so that I may shine his boots with my tongue? That sixy, sixy man.

Same goes for bows. And as I've said in other threads, Claymores aren't one on one weapons either.
