PLEASE LET US BREAK DOWN POWER ARMOR!

Post » Tue Dec 08, 2015 9:27 am

Please tell me there are other people who would love to get back at least SOME of the resources poured into a set of power armor when they find a better set or power armor and don't even need the older set.

I understand not being able to get it ALL back. Really, I do. But couldn't the scrapper perk have one more star that allowed the breakdown of power armor? How hard would that have been?

I know, I know. Go ahead. Flood this post with comments about, "But endless scavenging is part of the experience!" or whatever, but I've been playing fallout since the first one came out when I was 6 and since they finally brought in the ability to breakdown weapons and armor for scrap to use on perfecting other weapons and armor, why would the absolute best armor obtainable in the game be the exception?

I mean, think about all the gears, aluminium and other knickknacks you've invested into a single suit. Got it? Now think about finding a base, non-enhanced, raggedy suit of power armor you found at the bottom of a radiated lake (that's where I found mine so true story) that has better stats than your top tier suit.

See what I mean?

Got over 60 hours in FO4 and haven't even been to Diamond City yet. Totally taking my time with this thing.

If anyone else feels this way let me know. It's not something that a simple half gig update can't fix.

And, lastly--I don't care if there is a mod for this. Not a fan of mods.

Yeah and some of the materials are fairly rare like cork and ballistic fiber. Maybe I'll come across the motherload but i can't get enough to mod one full suit much less 4 or 5. then there is no use for spare T-45 and T-60. Plates sell for maybe 100 caps.

There are some uses for it. Order a companion to use it... Or let a settler use it. Imagine a whole village in power armor.
