Please make clear about Skyrim Remastered

Post » Sun Jun 19, 2016 5:08 pm

No problem it was my mistake. The first time I clicked on mods it was asking me to log in. But I did not notice the 'load order' button which has the offline (nexus) mods.

Yeah, you may be right. I haven't decided about the mods yet. I will see about that if the time comes.

But i will definitely download the free copy, as i own Skyrim LE on PC as well.

*shrug* I won't download it - because I don't have the bandwidth to do so. My sister or niece will send it to me on a stick. Whether I upgrade to it depends entirely on how stupid Beth's going to be about this.

A login couldn't be required for mods, because a person can make their own mod, which wouldn't necessarily be uploaded anywhere.

Umm, you don't need to do that in FO4. Just continue to use NMM (or MO) and ignore Bethesda.net. Where did you get that idea?

He admitted that he was in error about that several posts ago.

Life is gooooood. :celebrate: B)

Thats almost certainly the case, or before. This place can't continue forever.

Which will be me out then. Can't bear the other place and cannot imagine ever wanting to hang around that place any longer than I have to.

God, I hope not. I hate those new boards so much. I'll feel like i was kicked out of my home I've been here so long.

Me too. On the bright side, I will have a lot more time to do real world things and maybe some actual modding if I'm not here all the time.

Why can't Bethesda see this?

Real people who have been here many years with thousands of posts and ideas contributed

All wanting to leave in droves :(

Wake up Bethesda!

For goodness sake

Can you imagine.....the new site.....with a falling population of just a few hundred members left

And Bethesda's executive saying "Whats wrong with people?"

Doesn't make the entire concept of this any less of a [censored] thing to pull. It is a lame excuse and it is bias, plain and simple.

"it's not even the same program. Only the content and the title is the same."

Same can be said for the PC version.

How about this: If I plan on not using mods whatsoever on Skyrim SE, can I get it for free than too since I'm not taking advantage of the seemingly primary reason to charge one group and not the other? (see how much sense this all making now?)

Well, today games are huge anyway. So any game through the net will take a good amount of time to be downloaded. There is other way around.

But if you get it on a stick, you are good to go...i guess. ;)

I keep hoping that Bethie wakes up. There is a thread over there that is 76 pages long ( :shocking:) that is for new forum feedback. To date, literally none of the suggestions or fixes has been implemented. All that ever happens is that @Gstaff will occasionally pop in say something along the lines of "we hear you concerns", then nothing. I think that tells you all you need to know.

It's pretty tough. I'm active in FO4, so I do have to venture over that way from time to time. My advice? Stay out of the General Discussion areas. The Cheat, Hints, and Spoiler section is usually pretty ok, but not a lot of activity.

That is the issue. Traffic is waaaay down. I think you can blame their choice of JIVE. It really isn't intended for internet discussion forums.

And 75% of the traffic are whiny trolls.

That's the other thing I don't get. Here, the place is pretty well moderated. Over there, not so much. Where are the mods? It feels like the inmates are running the asylum.

I thought the same thing this morning. Threads are constantly in the wrong place, the same topics get posted five times a day, and it all devolves into flaming.

It's not the time. It's my strictly limited download bandwidth. Though satband is also very slow compared to "real" broadband.

I've been reading these "remastered" threads, and I still don't see a problem with me having to pay for my Xbox copy in October.

So what if the PC players have a free remaster or upgrade or whatever people want to call it.

Bethesda has to make a profit somehow and quite frankly, I've been very happy with them over the last two decades so I have no problem with paying for their products.

To me, getting upset over having to pay for a game is a first world problem. If someone is not happy with a company's business practices just don't do business with them anymore. Life is too short to be mad over a bunch of ones and zeros.

Yeah, I agree with you. I am happy the PC version will be free but honestly I would not have minded paying for it either.
