Please make enemies harder

Post » Sat Feb 27, 2016 1:19 am

This is not a prideful oh look at me post. This is a serious plea to just crank up some serious fright into the heart of us lone wanderers who expected more of a challenge from survival mode.

What I would love to see is Bethesda implement some faster more powerful enemies that have a variety of different attacks. How great it would be to get my neck snapped by a stealthy ninja like gunner who comes up from behind. Maybe if your perception is high then you can hear him but if not, you're dead, that sorta thing. Snipers and increasing the Fatman usage on us. Behemoth's should super jump and landing on you should be instant death. Deathclaws should stalk and be 2 times as fast. Stingwings should be 3 times as fast and their posion should feel like getting stung by a Cazador! Raiders should ambush and pop out in junkie gillie suits and shoot the heck out of ya! Ghouls should immediately turn to running once spotting you and not ever be there sluggish selves from afar. Finally, Super Mutants. They should be able to rip your head right off your body if after 3 seconds you stay to close.

Anymore suggestions would be very welcome! :fallout:

Or.. just nerf all the bonus damage % perks in the SPECIAL chart

Instead of getting 20% per level you get 10%

People already complain about bullet sponges,

so let's throw some one-hit-kill enemies into the mix, that'll be popular... ?

Not sure it will.

I agree that deathclaws need to be made more dangerous.

Before, if you snoozed and wondered too close to even one you would most likely be dead in seconds. You would hear a couple of pounding footsteps and when you turned around it was right on top of you.

Now they have this animation when you hurt them that you can use to get away and it doesn't seem like they can hurt you like before.

(This is on very hard difficulty)

Survival Mode should be a fear of death on every venture out. With the exceptions of Assaultron Dominator's, I don't ever feel like I will come close to being killed unless I let the enemies have their way with me. Hoping Bethesda brings the pain with the dlc (or an awesome mod).

Only thing about that is the lack of a jetpack. I'm sorry but at level 100 it's annoying to walkup and down stairs knowing the jetpack takes seconds to get up on a building. Just saying. :sleep2:

The npc spawns should be about the same level as the player all over the map. There is no fun to kill hostiles because you only get about 30 xp. There are very few hostiles that do some challenge, glowing sea.

Cheers,

Well, you know, there is this update coming to Survival mode that's basically one big overhaul in how it is played.

I am against this,

because it`s impossible to make enemies equally challenging against all playable style.

A guy who likes to just charge and swing bat in the face

vs

A guy who sneaks and uses Gauss rifle

Why would one deserve impossibly hard fight while the other enjoys easy win no matter what?

I think FO4 is fine as it is.

Here's to hoping Beth gives options, for those of us who enjoy the actual definition of "hardcoe survival". :wavey: :obliviongate:

Harder means also better Reactions or even more Damage. The sponge was just the easy way from betehsda and has nothign to do with being hard. It was more like to make the game longer as it is.

I agree with the OP. I found myself a two-fer combat rifle and an instigating combat shotgun. Now the two points I put into chem resistant are worthless because I need neither damage boosting chems nor defensive chems. I just faceroll the game with these two weapons and a few points in Rifleman.

They just need to rebalance the +dmg perks and certain legendary weapons.

Better if they double the enemy spawns. That makes it harder to sneak, and difficult to handle in a fight without using bullet sponges. At the highest difficulty you have 4 times more enemies. So instead of fighting agaisnt 5-7 enemies at each location you fight 30 or even 40.
