I'm forced to agree after my time on the Bioware Forums. I'm hoping that this sub-forum won't become like that when the game is released.

Khajiit are okay. They don't need a nerf.

Not sure how folks can yell nerf already. Yes, the racials *sound* very nice. But without knowing how caps are applied, or if enchantments even the playing field...

Cats are gods, learn to worthship them ^_^ apparently TESO agrees.

Well a number of sites have them but i saw them in Esohead which has a cool skill calculator too. Google it. I don't know how accurate are they though.

I remember back in 1999 when I started playing EQ . I learned some new words. Nerf was one of them .

And since then I have never understood people asking for them. Stop nerfing be creative.

I think nerfs are good. If something is not in balanced it should be fixed.

The problem with that is when you nerf class A, Class C is now viewed as overpowered and needs a nerf. ......it never stops.

Balancing the game is not the same as nerfing.... Nerfing in the context of game mechanics means making something that is overpowered, underpowered.

Agree, as this is so obvious that NO passive "let's wait" strategy is fine, although one is a cat player, of course.

Most racials are fine and the "let's see" argument is ok. But a. not for caranage and b. not for the unbalanced Argonian passives (as they have to get "stealthy" for instance)

If something is broken, why should you leave it broken and not try to fix it?

there are other ways to fix it instead of endless nerfing -- make other builds with a certain skill to balance that out.

nerfing is such a bad way of so called "fixing" -- it just a downward spin -- nerf race A, then nerf race B then race C then back to A then back to B then back C and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and -- get the point yet?

besides the ESO is not even out yet! FOR THE EIGHT! will the players at least wait to see what the game is really like in all the levels not just the starting levels that are in the beta?

From what I understand, many min/maxers will be well into the soft-cap on stats, (maybe damage too?), before you even take racial bonuses into consideration. So all these racial bonuses may look great on paper, but in reality there are going to be many situations where you are not actually receiving the full bonus listed, (due to diminishing returns).

So, let's maybe do what others have already suggested here: wait until the game is actually released before asking for nerfs.

There are half dozen ways to argue this, use some facts in comparison not just whine about it.

Don't forget Khajit are stealthy race .. I see each race having specific bonus to such specialties.

So do some kind of comparison, draw from TES race bonuses, etc.

Balance up, not down... There will always be balance issues when something gets removed... Yea I know this isn't done in most cases. And please don't dumb down things that must be done for other things to happen... Like Wow did to suite the lazies and un achievers...

It seems most stats in ESO hit soft caps. I think that is going to affect crit stats as well as resource regen etc. To the extent that people hit the caps, racial stats aren't OP. But you can't ignore em in thinking about what is or isn't OP.

As for nerfing... yes, there HAS to be nerfing, because there HAS to be continuous balancing, because the game is not going to be static. New skills and items will be added to the mix constantly, and the numbers on everything can't just keep going up and up. Say hypothetically that one class skill IS OP, relative to all the others... if you fix that by buffing EVERY OTHER SKILL, then that one skill has EFFECTIVELY been nerfed anyway. Much more efficient to dial it down than to dial everything else up.

And then there's the PvE world. If you have an inflationary spiral on player skills, you have to also continuously buff the enemies as well, or they become trivial... and once again, you have EFFECTIVELY nerfed the player, without actually lowering any numbers.

I really don't get why people don't accept this already >< "Nerfing" is about improving the game. It is for YOUR sake. Learn to adapt :P

How about we wait before we call for any nerfs?

If the Khajit racials prove as overpowered as some people claim, they will be brought in line. Though in all honesty, I doubt they are as overpowered as some people make them.

Right. Because of caps :P People are thinking way over-simplistically about the leveling curve.
