You'll probably find the Scar to be the easiest weapon to get to grips with. You can spray with it, take down snipers on the other side of the map. No scope with it at close range.

Just use that to start with and then when you get good swap it for a weapon that requires some level of skill

I agree with Jac70. The Jackal is also good on small areas. These two, along with the Feline, are my weapons of choice. Noob weapons, I know

Some advice for your module selection.

I would take Armour Enhance as your Armour mod, it's not massively useful but it's the best of the ones you can take until you hit armor level 6. As soon as you come under fire, activate your Armour, it doesn't make you invincible but you'll be able to take an extra bullet or two.

Equip Stealth Enhance for your stealth mod, this is by far the most useful - remember until you get Stealth Enhance level 2 your shadow will still be visible. This will make you an easy target whilst moving especially in bright areas of the map. Don't think you are invisible when stealthed, experienced players will still be able to see you when you get close.

For your Power Module I would take Aim Enhance, it will help reduce recoil for your primary weapon till you get used to the feel of it.

Just add laser to your scar and upgrade aim enhance to 3.If you have a decent aim you will pawn everyone currently playing c2.

Of course, the post above was just a joke

I reccommend you start out with the Feline, this way later on when you put the scar on you will find that the game jsut got 100 times easier.
