Please do not Include any sixual Content

Post » Mon Dec 28, 2009 9:19 am

Please don't include any strip bars or anything like that because a Fallout game should not be degraded to that level. There is no reason to include any content like this and it will cause hundreds of people to not purchase it.

Thank you for your time,

Wow, I didn't know that Mass Effect and Grand Theft Auto and Fable sold that bad...

There were sixual content in Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 that did matter. Heck, there were a little in Fallout 3 (Nova the prosttute, suggesting to that guy in Girdershade to have a threesome, suggesting to sleep with Mister Burke...) and it sold well, didn't it?

This is Vegas. That's like going to New York and saying "No tall building please". Besides people who buy or don't buy games based on sixual content probably shouldn't be looking into any modern rated Mature games.

EDIT: I read once that in either Fallout or Fallout 2 that there was mission about you being a porm star. Without you actually seeing the porm of course.

I agree with you to an extent. Although I feel explicit six and constant references to it is unnecessary, I think a bit of six involved would not go out of place -- after all, it's a post-apocalyptic Vegas.

But this is vegas baby! :P

and sixual content was in the FO1 and FO2 and there were hints of it in FO3 aswell, so i do not see how it would 'degrade' anytrhing. like SavageBeatings implies, games with sixual content sell just aswell, if not better then games without.

Did you know that one of the original fallout games had a mission inwhich you were a pormstar?

there are already loads of threads about sixual content. its not down to us whether its 'in or out', its really down to the developers. i am neither for or against it, because i doubt it would have any effect on me whilst playing the game.

I just want it out because for one, none of us should be seeing anything like this. And two, because it would completely take away any enjoyment from this game that seems to have great potential. I hope that there is at least no more than how it was in Fallout 3.

How will it degrade the game? I'm not going to be crawling the Vegas sewers thinking "Stupid show girls. They ruined the entire game for me, dammit."

In Fallout 2 you can sleep with the slaver that holds Vic, if you're a female, to have him cut the price. Also as a female, you could sleep with that leader of that little gang, although you didn't benefit anything from it. You can sleep with prosttutes in brothels and "bath houses" (bath houses are the nicer brothels). You can sleep with members of the mafia families to get information, you can make one of the mafia wives pregnant (it's suggested atleast), you can star in a pormo with high Endurance and Charisma enough, you could get [censored] by a Super Mutant if you lost a bet. There was a condem brand, Jimmy Hats. There was a Reputation you could gain from starring in that pormo. There was also a Reputation called "wasteland virgin" which you lot when you slept with someone for the first time.

There were lots of sixual content, and that didn't make the game any worse at all! The fact that you don't see any nudity, it just blacks out and dialogue will suggest what just happened, doesn't make it offensive.

This is Vegas and Fallout, I'd be more outraged and abashed if they didn't incorporate those features you're asking to be left out.

If they do it GTA IV style then I see no problem with it.

I can list all of the reasons why you're wrong, but I'm just going to say this is the wrong game/series for you.

I think someone's mother just signed up to rant about this. I have a tip for you - don't buy it for your kid then, it's an 18+ game! That means there's advlt content.

I have to agree there, sixual content hasn't stopped me from enjoying an otherwise good game before, if it's out of place or too over the top, I might be left wondering if we really need it in the game, but if the game is still fun, I'll enjoy it nonetheless. I just hope they don't go too far, there's a bit of a difference between a game with implied sixual content and borderline pormography. They should keep the level of sixual content similar to what we have seen in past Fallout games, present, but never explicitly shown (Well, I suppose the porm star quest wasn't really needed, but I meant as a whole.)

And yes, if you feel that you shouldn't be seeing sixual content in games, maybe you shouldn't be playing Fallout.

I have to agree I mean I thought the OP was kidding, but reading his/her new statement i'm not so sure. This will be in VEGAS which is called Sin City for a reason and just an FYI it's not sin city just because of gambling, smoking, and drinking. Now what alot of players are probably saying is the developer's shouldn't push the boundary too much since it can/will backlash. However on the other hand with what Las Vegas is there has got to be sixual content in it.

What i'm expecting to see in FO:NV

1. Casino's with the ability to gamble away my hard earned wages. After which I can slit throats, decapitate heads, and blow heads completely off to get my wages back if I lose them all.
2. Black Market dealers where I can get a needed "Fix". Still can't believe Morphine had to be changed to "Med-X" because of some overzealous people.
3. Strip Joints where I can go in and see a nice purtty like thing dancing away. I can go in grab an alcoholic beverage and watch the show or jump on stage dancing too. Perhaps I get too much to drink and start shooting the place up hey it's my call.
4. Back alley brothels where I have to becareful of what I do because someone might try to steal my stuff.

What i'm not expecting to see in FO:NV

1. No Strip Clubs because people are affraid it will "Scar the children". You buy this game for a 10 year old knowing it's meant for 17 year olds it is the same as taking them to an R rated movie. If you choose to do it then it is by your choice and you are responsible.
2. pormo shows full of stuff that I can't even begin to describe here *I try to even utter 1 sentence I will be permabanned*. I'm looking to buy a game not an interactive pormo flick ok.

I would say FO3 could have gone a little further in sixual content, but they did it just right for some people. To make FONV have less sixual content then FO3 when it is in freakin Sin City will be not only stupid, but disrespectful to the history of las vegas.

I think when they do it in video games it comes off as gimmicky and usually in bad taste. I would prefer not to see it because it is almost always cheesy and/or pointless (other than so nerds can giggle at side boob)

Who are you to decide what I should or shouldn't see? That's rather presumptuous of you, don't you think?

Personally I hope there's a lot more sixual content than in Fallout 3. I think Bethesda was still recoiling from what happened with Oblivion when they made Fallout 3, and the normal level of sixual content in Fallout games suffered as a result.

Wait what? When did a complete stranger start deciding what I am allowed or not allowed to see? Last time I checked I still lived in the USA.

Several of these threads have been closed because of inappropriate content, shall we try to keep this at a reasonable level of discussion please.

Plus, calling other members trolls will get a warning and time out. Everyone has there own wants for the game, if some do not want any six in it they are no different to those who do. I am going to sit in this topic for a while, -------- and I am in a grumpy mood. :stare:

Great minds think alike -- this is exactly what I would want in New Vegas; I think that's a great balance to make Vegas feel like Sin City but without going too far (which would ultimately annoy me).
