Please please please! Bethesda read this

I haven't been more excited for a game than Fallout 4 since ever but I am very worried that it will be plagued with the same engine problems and limitations that Skyrim was. Todd Howard wasn't very specific on the "next-generation Creation Engine" except for some rendering techniques. I am only asking that you do the PC port right, so these are a few things that need to be addressed.

It needs multithreading support
It needs to fully utilize GPUs
It needs to run bug-free at any framerate
Please document the engine better

It is the same engine so pushing the frame rate above 60 fps WILL cause problems. It is not a rebuild engine it is a tweak of an existing engine. Also Bethesda does make their own "ports."

It's worth a shot. No need to be sarcastic. They will undoubtedly be more likely to put more attention to the port if people demand a good one.

PC port? I'm hoping, nay, DEMANDING this game was MADE for PC and "ported" to those other inferior devices. As all games should be.

As for that other stuff, yes, yes, by all means make it quick, smooth and beautiful.

It's not a big thing I'm asking for. They don't have to rebuild the entire engine to untie the physics from the framerate, that sounds like a somewhat small task.

All the platforms are equal but it needs to be able to adjust to more powerful hardware. Anyone who disagrees with us is anti Totalbiscuit.

Not gonna happen man. Bugs and open world games go together like the Brotherhood and power armor.

CD Projekt Red pulled it off with a third of the resources, so I guess they are more like Enclave?

With all the negative press associated with the Batman game being so buggy, I'm fairly certain, there's going to be some extra effort on Quality Control and Crash-Testing.

Besides that, the best results usually come to those that wait; those that wait for the mod community to make the game even better with more bug-fixes, optimizations, customizations, and other sorts of things.

You'll have a much better quality experience if you wait until around June 2016 to play something that's been broken in and road tested.

They also created a fairly static world, whereas Fallout 4 will have thousands of objects that can be interacted with....

Don't be so sure, Skyrim had all the problems. Did they not quality control it? They are things beyond what mods can fix except ENBoost (kinda) and SKSE. How it managed memory was completely broken.

They had plenty of bugs too. People on xbox one had issues where they couldn't even save the game. Kinda of important in a Open World RPG.

I understand it's difficult but I disagree with you defending them. They can always do better and it should be encouraged.

Which was resolved.. Skyrim still cannot be played at 144 HZ without land swimming and display case exploding.

Every company has room for improvement, but I don't think you're understanding what I mean. Fallout 4 will have many moving parts, thousands of items that can be picked up and interacted with... and coupling that with a large open world... bugs will happen, no matter how much QA is done.... bugs can and do slip through the cracks... you can't test for every situation. Especially when players don't often do everything the same exact way. To expect an open world of the size and magnitude that Fallout 4 is presenting to not have any bugs at launch is frankly, laughable.

Didn't you just void your own logic by defending CD Projekt Red?

Again, I didn't once talk about releasing Fallout 4 without gameplay bugs. I was only talking about game breaking engine bugs which there shouldn't be any.

But did you enjoy the game more, or less than you disliked and had complaints about it?

I, for one, rather enjoyed it, and enjoyed it all the more with some 150 different mods running all at once, once i got the load orders sorted for everything to work properly.

I can't even think of any real problems of any note at all worth mention that I had with the game, other than perhaps extremely low IQ NPCs with an arrow sticking out of their forehead going back to their post after less than a minute of searching. Even that was adjusted and somewhat fixed with a mod. :D

They won't change anything just because of a post in the forums. Just wait and see what they do, jesus.

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha. No.

While I concede that modders WILL likely create improvements to the game from graphical tweaks to outright bug fixes, I cannot ~imagine~ waiting any longer for this game. I've only recently managed to wean myself away from getting games JUST as they come out at $60.... when I see them plummet to like $6 in a few years, I shudder to think of the wasted cash and frustration at the initial buggy product.... but this is Fallout-4. If I have to wait until November 12th, I'll freak out.

You didn't specify game breaking bugs in the OP, you said "It needs to run bug-free at any framerate".

You're very, very wrong here. Perhaps you didn't have the issues of Skyrim, but I certainly did.

First off, I'm not excusing Bethesda's buggy as all hell games. Skyrim was damn near unplayable for me when it was released and I was forced to reroll characters multiple times because of game-breaking glitches and the poor autosave system. I'm very vocal about the abomination that was a "TES killer" for me.

That being said, I had very high hopes for Witcher 3, but in all honesty the level of glitches in the game surpassed even Skyrim for me. I don't think I've ever encountered so many game-breaking glitches and such poor responses from their team. I'm grateful that they respond on their forums, but in some cases the way in which they did so seemed quite unprofessional to me.

In any case, I thoroughly enjoyed Witcher 3, but to say CDPR pulled it off is not accurate in the least. One must also remember that CDPR had better tech to work with and the design of the world is very different as others pointed out.

Don't get me wrong though, I think Bethesda needs to get their stuff together in QA and bugs.
