Please save us from the evils of WoW, and make Fallout into an MMO as well. I would pay to play it on a mass scale in a heartbeat, I know you guys at Bethesda could do it we have faith in you. I have been trying to seek out other multi player games, but the ones I tried didn't hold my interest very long. If it looked like Fallout 3 plus an MMO, the following of players would be massive.

On November 30, 2006, Interplay filed a Form 8-K filing to the SEC regarding a potential Fallout massively multiplayer online game. The Form 8-K contained a prospectus stating that Interplay will be issuing common stock on Euronext to raise capital for developing a Fallout MMORPG. The report stated that the production and launch processes will require an estimated US$75 million in capital. The report also stated that production may start as early as January 2007 and the game may launch as early as July 2010.

In April 2007, SEC filings were made showing the transfer of the IP for the Fallout MMORPG to Fallout 3 developer Bethesda for US$5.75 million. While Bethesda now owns the rights to the Fallout MMORPG IP, clauses in the purchase agreement state allow Interplay to license the rights to the development of the MMORPG, provided that development begins within 24 months of the date of the agreement (which was April 4, 2007), and that Interplay must secure $30 million within that time frame or forfeit its rights to license. Interplay must furthermore launch the MMORPG within four years of the beginning of development, and pay Bethesda 12 percent of sales and subscription fees for the use of the IP.

In April 2008, Interplay announced that the Fallout MMOG had entered production and in April 2009 announced that it would be working with Masthead Studios, a Bulgarian based game developer who are currently working on Earthrise, to assist in the development of the game.

In June 2009, Game Informer reported that Interplay may have lost the Fallout MMORPG rights.

Just a little info, as I can't be bothered to explain.

I'm not really a fan off MMO's it kills my sense of individuality in a game. I'm might as well be some random NPC. I think the fallout games are fine just the way they are.

Hey man if you cheek out fallout wiki you would find a rumored fallout project called project 13 witch is rumored to being made by some of the original makers of Fallout and Fallout 2 not the ones making Fallout New Vegas.

Project V13 is the code name for the Fallout MMO being developed by Interplay, already mentioned. They may or may not be able to produce it now, since they ran right up to the end of the contract agreement they signed with Bethesda giving them the rights to produce an online version of Fallout. Right now it's in the hands of Bethesda and Interplay's lawyers to see who winds up with the publishing rights for it.

Thank you so much for posting this info, I am so there once its all done! I know Bethesda is going to do a heck of a job, honestly Bro I was getting so burned out on WoW, Guild Wars ect. I was so bored of Horde and Alliance, plus the content was starting to go down hill, making the game look like garbage. I see no conflict in Fallout being a single player or an MMO, Blizzard did the same with Warcraft as a single player, then years later went MMO with it; so why not Bethesda with Fallout. *Does Happy Dance*

Fallen Earth. I don't ask for a Fallout expansion. An MMO would be odd. No individuality, no lethality, no sense of being unique. Forget it, I am using Fallen Earth. IF interplay doesn't make it the [censored] it.

Second of all, I like the series the way it is. But Beth should seriously balance out the game. Reavers equal god killers. Player equals god. Albine radscorp and every new enemy equal meatfodder. Supermutants equal gore show.

I just want balance and DEPTH to the game, storyline, and everything else.

When this is made into an MMO, I know Bethesda will work wonders. With the advances of DirectX and Video Cards ect, the new directions for this game are endless. If you played the old series of Fallout, it looked really plain and simple. There are ways to block out cheaters within game. This game when an MMO, does not have to be totally PvP based; they could have PvP and PvE servers. Although, I couldn't see why you wouldn't have the option to shoot another player in game anyway. In the wasteland, its survival of the fittest. Give these guys a chance, they might totally surprise everyone.
