I'm making a mod which adds a "breadcrumb trail" of buried chests all over Skyrim. If you've played Red Dead Redemption, then you'll know roughly what to expect. I was hoping that you guys could help me decide where to place each chest, by posting your favourite vanilla exterior locations.

Background:
An old Ranger spent the last year of his life travelling around Skyrim, doing a final tour of the country he loved.

His most prized possession was an ancient steel sword, passed down between father and son for generations. Unfortunately, not having any heirs, there was nobody to pass it on to. So he devised a plan to ensure that only somebody who shared his knowledge and love of the land would inherit the sword.

Throughout his travels, he buried chests all over the land, linking them together by hand drawn clues. He finished his travels in Riverwood, where he spent the remainder of his days. His only dying wish was for a sealed note to be buried in a chest next to his grave (this will be the first crumb in the trail)


So that's that. Please post in your favourite vanilla exterior locations. I won't post exactly which ones I've chosen to use, so as not to spoil the fun for anybody. But I think its an interesting topic in itself, so I'm looking forward to reading any responses
