Please read my negative review

Skyrim Is excellant and Ive gradually been torn from Battlefield 3 to constant hours long Skyrim holidays from home. I dont want to speak for its pleasing, original experience or its absorbing gameplay and Ive really loved its physics especially watching the planet rotation on the moons. But I cant adjust to some of the changes so Ill start with a personal problem Ive had.
Recently I started collecting platinum trophies and was hoping that Bethesda wouldnt add trophies to Skyrim but the reason Im bothered I didnt see coming, I just didnt want the burden trophies have become to me. After playing to level 19 and already restarting after getting aquainted from level 6 Im thinking I wouldve rather stuck to one school or have 3 characters each focusing on each of melee, magic and stealth, so I start to do the miscellaneous trophies and realize it will be difficult for me to do Thieves Guild and probably Dark Brotherhood with a Nord specific character. Do I do a run through with my level 19 and leave the story or restart and do 3 plays and take the trophies that way. I have a problem with both of these, If I complete all quest trophies on my 19 Ive ruined my first experience on the trophies and if I do trophies over playthroughs our character still has to become associated with the other guilds practically joined with a quest and would have to go out of your way to avoid joining these factions and not the thieves entirely. I feel the nostalgia of these guilds has been replaced with less mature, less imaginative, less interesting almost linear encounters and been stripped of their traditions in the 3D Scrolls series. Remember how secretive the Thieves Guild are and I cant even remember how to find the Dark Brotherhood in Morrowind, I miss being inventive in the character stats enough and these guilds have added to the disillusion.
Im just going too number list my other disappointments.
1. As soon as I saw the the save size 3mb 10 mins in I was dreading freezing and glitching. 7.5mb in and starting to experience more often at level 19.
2. Textures from high to low ground and most distant textures plain colour, familiar with all engines!
3. Lack of conjuration Spells I would like some wildlife Conjure and wheres our Conjure Dragon Spell? (obviously area restricted)
4. Inventory Quest Items, Now Ive got to look at a stupid amulet with a green skull on it everytime I apparel.

Ill put more in at a later date. Tired of typing.

Story got me going at the Throat of the world.

You don't need to get every trophy, if you feel that trying to get them would ruin some experiences of the game then dont bother
as for your other points, i havent had any problems with freezing and very little with slowing yet but i know that happens (level 27, saves at about 4 mb)
the quest items thing does annoy me, i currently have 3 bottles of alto wine that the game wont let me drop or drink because one of them was part of a quest

Ive been collecting trophies since Mass Effect 2 collecting them isnt the problem its that the trophies require the player to complete faction quests and my Skyrim character isnt able to be a rogue or mage because hes a warrior. So we have got to train our character in all skills to unlock trophies and that forces a trophy collector into a role play predicament, basically doing all the combat families instead of strictly what I want. I also dont like the linear approach to joining all guilds but especially Thieving and Brotherhood, we would have to be prepared to avoid these Guilds and quest lines.

5. Magic and weapons cannot be dual equipped like in the previous titles.
6. No hardcoe, as we are made quickly familiar with the welcome changes to the environment I couldnt believe not being able to find New Vegas style hardcoe.
7. Axe, Blunt, Short, Long its clear with the new levelling not to expect this taste of variety.
8. Who here wasnt prepared for the Thalmor Embassy, If I had known!
9. Shouts I like but, are the dragonborn superheroes? the most powerful mortals ever? are shouts even in Elder Scrolls history because to me it doesnt feel right and it also doesnt feel right a Khajiit or Argonian shouting. They feel more like a Nords ability.
I cant help but feel they are also a reinvigorating addition to attract players and modernise an old fashioned game.

I also thought just a thought, that maybe theyve made changes to immortalize the previous Elder Scrolls game so they are unique not only to view but also to play. Does that make sense?

I last night restarted as Khajiit, the 3rd time. And am focusing on stealth skills with alchemy so that I can hopefully comfortable complete the game as a strict rogue and collect the trophies without having to aquire over multiple playthroughs and overplaying too soon.

The Dark Brotherhood in Morrowind were added in the Tribunal expansion and they were unjoinable.

And as for trophies, one option regarding that, as you've said, is to go for as many as you can on a single character (but it doesn't look like you want to or will do that at all) So now all you're left with is multiple characters that fit with whatever idea you have for what kind of character should obtain certain trophies. Or just play through the game with whatever characters you want, and just get whatever trophies you end up getting without specifically worrying about them. (And then maybe after that you could even specifically go after the leftover trophies)

Yeah I know its not too bad people I really was hoping to be trophy free. Ive gotten most but marriage, lvl 50, 100k etc in non quest trophies, Its just the guild trophies thats why Ive restarted using stealth skills so I can do all trophies without straying on my characters role in one but 3rd playthrough.

Having real trouble convincing people not to try and do everything with one character.. but its always been the way to go, they should probably put it as a tip in the manual or something.

I've never been into trophy collecting, so I can't comment on that. Does it really matter? Obviously it does to you

1. As soon as I saw the the save size 3mb 10 mins in I was dreading freezing and glitching. 7.5mb in and starting to experience more often at level 19.

Its still early in the games life, and a patch has been promised, so fingers crossed the patch works and is authenticated soon.
2. Textures from high to low ground and most distant textures plain colour, familiar with all engines!

At least on consoles, I actually prefer this to "fogging" where distant lands are hidden by mysterious fog constantly. Its a technical restriction, I imagine some PC's are capable of detail at a huge distance, and there are options for that, but I think Beth is happy for PC users to mod themselves to perfection which is great, but console wise, its almost always a technical limitation issue.
3. Lack of conjuration Spells I would like some wildlife Conjure and wheres our Conjure Dragon Spell? (obviously area restricted)

Would be nice yes.
4. Inventory Quest Items, Now Ive got to look at a stupid amulet with a green skull on it everytime I apparel.

Nothing worse thou, than discarding something that looks important, only to find out later its essential. The boards would probably explode if people were repeatedly losing quest items.

But you will post about it and bump it up?

... argh, now I have. Northing wrong with negative, or rather constructive criticism, as long as its not being whiny and entitled to something to make it better at the detriment of others.

Ya, I just wanted to let the OP know that there's way too much negativity around here for a game that people appearently like. He/she should have titled this thread: My Constructive Review instead.

Why can Skyrim only have so small savegame files? In Oblivion, especially modded, the size can grow very big and you have not so much problems.
