Please reduce stick dead zone in consoles

Post » Thu Jan 21, 2016 11:13 pm

New gen consoles sticks are much more precise and robust, but F4 is still using dead zone range from PS3/360 days. A reduced dead zone will help to aim better and improve responsiveness feeling.

Also a separate sensitivity for ADS and hip (ala Battlefield 4) will help.

Thanks you a lot for this awesome game, I hope you improve the control so we console peasants enjoy it even more.

Dead zone is the range of movement in the middle of the stick that has no effect on the actual input.

Old controllers used to have crappy springs in the stick that put almost no force in the center, so historically console games has configured a wide dead zone to avoid involuntary movements.

This kind of wide dead zone is not needed anymore with modern controllers, but some developers still add it to their games for reasons.

Dead zone makes harder to aim fast in a controller, which is already hard by default.
