Please reverse the copyright strikes.

Recently youtubers have been hit for copyright strikes, To be exact SSoHPKC. He is advertising your game for free, he loves the game infact he has done a full walkthrough of your product on his youtube channel and all he asks you is to reverse his copyright strike because he is on his 2nd strike if he gets another one his account is gone he looses the 3,729 videos he has covered on a wide range of games he did not mean to violate any copyright law he just meant to give his 50,000 + viewers entertainment, a walkthrough, and a potential reason to buy the game, because at first I was skeptical if NV was just a giant add on for fallout 3, his video showed me it was better than what I thought. So please ask Zenimax to reverse the copyright strikes on SSoHPKC and the other youtubers who had no intention to violate the law.

I love watching Seamus`s videos but you asking for him isnt gonna do much.... Im sure.
And im sure this isnt the best place to be asking for the copyright strike to be reversed
Its pretty much his war to be fought. Although i must say it is a bunch of... crap. :swear:

Youtube's system is 100% automated. Complaining here, regardless of whether or not the rightsholders agree, is going to do very little.

I wasn't going to buy Fallout New Vegas at all, I didn't think it would be any good at all, mainly because of the lame story. It is only because of SSoHPKC's youtube videos that I decided to go out and spend £60 buying the collectors edition. But I'm thinking I wasted my money now, if you are going to treat a guy who's given you so much free advertising, bought the game himself and convinced others who where on the fence about spending their hard earned money and even got me who wasn't on the fence but on the other side saying "Nope I'm not going to buy that lame game" to go out and buy it then I feel like returning the game because I don't want you to come along and kick me in the balls as a thank you.
So to make a long rant even longer, do what ever it is you have to do, talk to whom ever it is you need to but help get that copyright strike removed.

Sorry, why would they want someone giving a walkthrough when they can make money on the guide?

Making money on the guide will not make up for the free exposure they get on youtube. Funny I see all the other Bethesda products on youtube, I would wonder why they will not let New Vegas on youtube. Wierd. Maybe he had some content that Bethesda or Zenimax didn't want shown?

To protect innovation. What exactly needs protecting here?

DMCA take downs for play through videos are bull due to the fact someone is creating a work so how can some third party claim copyright on that? It's fair use ffs.

If you do a quick search on youtube you will find many walkthrough videos of Fallout 3 so why is this guy being attacked about doing the same thing for new vegas?

It's simple there is a game guide with walkthroughs.

If someone produces free walkthroughs oh youtube it lessens the Guide's need. Essentially they're both doing the same thing but whoever wrote the guide was smarter and cut a deal with Bethesda/obsidian/zenimax.

It's not about right or wrong here it's about who had it first and who shook whose hand.

I agree on youtube videos that just show off something cool, that's free advertising, but a whole walkthrough or "let's play" really gives the game away and I don't blame them for opposing that.

The problem is Prima puts out game guides for all games at release. (including all of Bethesda's games) There are already walkthroughs going up on Gamefaqs and you probably won't here anything about this happening there.

Discussion of copyright disputes and petitioning others to ask for a reversal of the decision does not have a place on these boards.
