Please Say Something!

Someone from Bethesda please tell us you guys know there are serious problems about the game!!
Everyone is having trouble with their Fallout New Vegas!!

I am not asking for you guys to work faster, but please at least tell us you guys are working on it

Release a post or something that tells us someone from Bethesda knows we're having problems!

Even if you guys have no way to fix the problems, or if you guys cant reproduce the freezing and crashes, tell us!! We want to know there are progresses!!

I agree dude - Some indication that some work is actually happening would be great.

In New Zealand you can take an open game back within 7 days and still get a full refund, so I'd really like to know soon if any of this will be fixed, because after 7 days I can't get the refund.

About 4 days ago on their blog they said it is still being worked on.... That was four days ago. This game has been out approximately a week and no word on when the PS3 U.S. patch is coming out? I am fed up with being patient. I paid full price for a game that should have been complete on release, but apparently wasn't, as there are numerous bugs and glitches. If they at least gave an update or an ETA on when this would be resolved I MIGHT be more inclined to relax and be patient.

I find it utterly amazing that Bethesda would release a "broken" game and call it "finished". Gamers frequently get angry when released dates get pushed back, but release date changes are better than shelling out 85$ (for the Collector's Edition, including tax) for a game that is not finished.

amen... I would have been fine with waiting another month or two
if that could have eliminated the worst of the bugs before release...

I'm not saying I wouldn't have complained ;) but I would respect Bethesda more for having the common sense to delay the release instead of releasing a game that may as well be the "beta"

Even on the FIFA 11 forum the Mods update the progress of the patches. Some information is better than none, it may even build bridges with the disgruntled customers who feel completely let down by this complete and utter shambles of a release.

They say that the developers are looking at the replys and working on fixing the problem. How can anyone believe that when not one of them has even asked a question relating to any of the formentioned crashes, bugs, freezes etc.

SO Obsideon, with your reputation on the brink, your fans deeply unhappy with the cash they've pretty much handed over to you for something that is broken, what will you do? Remain silent no doubt. Shame on you, grow some and man up to your mistakes.

You know? You touched a very important point. Why are they not asking questions? And i think i know the answer to that. They know it is broken since day 1 and now are trying to fix it. That′s my two cents anyway.

I remember when an alpha version of Doom 3 was leaked on the internet....

I had a brand new computer i built myself, at the time it could play any game on the market at full settings and resolution. But it still could only run Doom 3 at like 25 fps. it was terrible. so choppy and the menu screen was a bit bugged. It only let you play at a certain level, kill like one or two guys then walk through a door and it was over. However, no freezes.

lololo so..Doom 3 Alpha was actually better than the supposedly finished Fallout New Vegas? That′s the difference from ID and Bethesda.

25 fps!!! That is more than enough. MAG runs at 30 fps and for 256 players it runs incredibly smooth. I don't know what you've been smokin' but 25 fps is good enough. Main reasons I trashed PC gaming was the constant need to upgrade, upgrade, upgrade, upgrade. I remember trying to play The Witcher at 10 to 15 fps, and when it did touch 20 it was more then enough to get from point A to point B without looking like a Digital Graphic Novel.

First off, I am going to be in contact with Bethesda/Obsidian and demand a full refund for the game. I'm not simply returning this to a Gamestop. I want my money back from the culprits who pulled one over on the fan. If this does not occur, I will be seeking legal counsel in order to find out the limitations on class action lawsuits. The lack of updates from moderators and lack of any kind of "technical support" is absolutely abhorrent. I've tried to be patient, but it has been a week since I paid for this product. If by the end of today there has been no patch, or at least an update on when U.S. PS3 customers will be receiving a patch, I'm moving forward with above stated plans. I propose many of you do the same.

I think that the best course of action would be to us all do a lawsuit together to really show that we will not stand by broken things. The lack of information is ridiculous.

I think people are being a little overly dramatic in this thread. Personally, I'm just excited by the fact that Bethesda let Obsidian, consisting of original members of the 1 and 2 team, develop such an ambitious game in the Fallout universe.

Having said that, my game crashes whenever I enter The Strip from Freeside. As some might guess, this hinders progress in the game immensely for me. Here's to hoping the patch comes sooner, rather than later.

P.S. If anyone from the Obsidian team catches this message, thank you so much. Loving the game so far, with my only complaint being its "quarks".

As indicated by the date at the top of that page, that was 5 days ago. I am looking for an actual update. As in, what sort of headway has been made since then? However, your response has kept a paying customer from feeling alienated, so I will be patient for a few more days and see what comes of it. Thank you for your response.

I'm also interested in hearing from them, perhaps some sort of status report where they are in the progress, especially in regard to the freezing. Can they reproduce the problem? Is it one or several bugs? What's the most difficult part of the process? Etc, insider information like that would be interesting, and I think it would make some people more forgiving. (And it wouldn't take that long to write.)

But in any case I don't think the New Vegas issue in itself is that serious yet, the game has only been out for a week and they have in fact said they're working on it, and also released a patch (even if the worst issues remains). A lot of the anger is no doubt because of the earlier problems with FO3 that in fact did not get addressed, and how similar they are to the current ones. These things add up.

Just be happy that they're doing something. Some software developers seem to just ignore the problems.
