I love the fallout series and have since the beginning. Even though I am nothing more than just one consumer of which will regardless, be purchasing your product, would like to voice an opinion/suggestion. During the excitement of fallout 4 I have become re-invested in Fallout: New Vegas. My favorite of all-time weapons are the hunting rifle known as "This Machine" and the laser RCW. I know it is not even close to possible that one person such as I, to influence an entire corporation, but I am still going to ask; will these weapons be in Fallout: 4? Can I make the laser RCW without the laser part? (meaning the Tommy gun/Chicago typewriter/trench sweeper/The Gat). Obviously as I have mentioned I would like nothing more than to have the game and even better, the pip boy edition. This message is not even remotely about that. I am only asking as one out of probably millions of people that these are added if they aren't already and perhaps to revive the old mobster feel. As in maybe have a side quest giving something to do with an Al Cappone type person with the cigars, the gritty criminal staple image that he's left if or when an individual were to think of the 1920's. Also, maybe the Browning Automatic Rifle? I've been gaming for most my life and seldom if not, rarely have I seen much like that and I know it's quite late to ask of this but it could maybe be a DLC. I wouldn't want this, of course, to be an after-market modification for Xbox only because I believe a lot of people would enjoy this and it should be available for all platforms.

Thank you, faithful consumer.

P.S. - PLEASE DON'T LIMIT THIS TO XBOX!!! :'(

We're not sure at this point in time exactly what weapons we will be able to create, but it seems BGS have gone all out on weapon customization for Fallout 4. From what we have seen so far, there are a lot customization options and mods for weapons (and amour). I think they have included drum magazines, so it could very well be possible to create a Tommy Gun type weapon.

fear not faithful one! You will probably be able to get these weapons somehow. The hunting rifle will definitely come back. And there will definitely be a unique variant of it, but it might not be "this machine." But you will definitely be able to mod the hell out of it. As for the laser RCW. you will most likely be able to build a weapon that meets this standard if it's not in the game. just use a laser pistol/rifle, good stock, and change the barrel to be automatic.

Unfortunately I will not be able to obtain modds for the game because I will be on the close-minded PS4 platform. As far as I know Bethesda said they'd work on it but I really have my doubts. With the negetive taste sony got on the back of their tongues with their experience of modders, there will be no mods. I do play a little PC but everyone in the family wants to play it or at least watch someone else play it and not everyone enjoys or understands the unique differences in PC gaming. I also have an Xbox but its only a 360 elite. :(

I thought mods were in for PS4?

Anyway, you don't need mods to change the weapons around in FO4. Weapon modding is built into the game. It's part of the crafting setup.

Yes. However not to as great as an extent. You couldn't just make up anything out of anything. That would take too much time and the player would lose interest. That's where mods come in. They would both extend the campaign, and the weaponry and armor. The PS4 won't be having mods unless Bethesda can make a miracle happen, which I am hoping for but also I realize the reality of Sony's hard headed beliefs.

What was the gun the SS was holding at the end of the trailer? It looked hunting rifle-ish. It would be cool if we could recreate This Machine/Battle Rifle.

yep, looks like my theory is right, or at least very likely

looks to me like it′s very heavily inspired by the thompson, it′s the military version so ya not getting a exact Tommy gun, but it′s better then nothing.

Really all it needs is a drum magazine and it would be fine. It's likely to be what the extended mag is for it.

if you look through the atom bomb baby video in the parts where it′s used as a semi auto you clearly see that indeed there is a drum mag for it.

I may just have to get it on two platforms and just switch when I feel like playing with mods.

I wouldn't worry about not getting mods on ps4. The ball is in Sony's court now and they have acted very competitively thus far. I expect that option to open up to PS4 as well.

I think the real question is how limited will mods on consoles be? I've seen some impressive skyrim mods on a 360 but I definitely wouldn

't say microsoft approved of the methods :D

I figure on consoles it'll be Mods that Bethesda's employees come up with and they will release it like DLC. I don't see how they could release the Creation Kit, or whatever it's called, for the consoles. I will say that releasing the Creation Kit would be incredible just for screwing around on our own with! That armor you love doesn't quite seem right stat wise to you? Edit it! You want to make your gun do 1000 damage? Go ahead, it's your game to break!

Well the Creation Kit will be (most likely) PC only (and macOS and maybe Linux if they are porting).

But installing any mod using your Sony Store should be possible.

I am thinking of a system similiar to Steams Workshop.

You won't be able to get your mods directly from nexus (or those advltmod websites), but you will be able to use mods.

Installing a "non-sony-workshop" mod could result in "work", but neither do I know enough about the XBox one nor about the PS4 to say for sure.

So it's just speculation.

I doubt console mods will be from beth employees only. That wouldn't really be mods? More of official updates. Considering the xb1 is essentially a PC with heavily skinned and virtualized "desktops" I can't see why it couldn't run a lot of the mods out there. It will jsut depend how they are able to deliver those mods. It could be really aweseom and open(ish) or terrible. But we don't really know until more info comes about.

Both consoles are essentially PCs. The question is, how will it look, work, feel, and most importantly, perform.

I do have a PC however my PC experience compared to my console is quite lacking. However, I am very much enjoying the PC experience so far as I've recently began PC gaming.
