Please Tell Me I Can Fix This..

Post » Thu Nov 05, 2009 11:50 am

So.. I was playing FO3 when I walked out of a door to a loading screen. After that my game froze and I turned my Xbox off. Now every time I try to reload the "auto save" I have about two seconds to move until it freezes again. I also literally have a save about 15 seconds before I enter that door but always seems to freeze in the loading screen just before it comes up. I've tried moving the saves from my hard drive to USB out of sheer hope it would do something. Is there any possible way to load these? Any suggestions?

You have my sympathy, but apart from suggesting you try deleting and reinstalling any DLCs and clearing the 360 cache, I don't know if anything will help.
As a last resort (with your saves backed up) you could try deleting the whole game and saves, and reinstall. Don't know if that will help though, if the saves are corrupt.

Thanks, Ill tinker around with it a bit more. I was pretty pleased going back to FO3 and put a good 26 hours into my playthrough. :\
When I heard people complain about this I said, I'm a lucky one.", not anymore.. >.<

Let us know how you get on.

I started FO3 again a few weeks ago after completing it last year. I've occasionally had the 'Pipboy disappearing up the screen' glitch, which I never had on my first play through.

Also, I just remembered that the a few days ago it seemed to freeze completely at the end of a replay in VATS. None of the controller buttons had any affect. I left it for maybe 5 minutes while I had a smoke and prepared to lift my carcass off the chair and go over to the 360 to power it off and on again, when the game suddenly came back to life!

If you haven't tried it then it may be worth leaving it for a while to see if it recovers.

Might as well, everything else has failed.. Jeez. I wonder why the heck the game would just get so stubborn like this with no way around.. I'm currently in Fort Constantine on a bridge, between two evil doors.. -_-

Seems like there is no cure for this. Unfortunately I have no desire to play through everything again and will let FO3 collect dust once more.
