for those of you that havnt read The Map of All Things, i highly recommend you do so, but basically the plot line is that there are two totally different cultures (i.e pro imperial and traditional nord) that due to unfortunate and innocent accidents, break into a war that just keeps escalating untill every aspect of both countries are involved in some way with the war.

The book has a multitude of characters, all with different view points and provides a thoroughly interesting read.

i would love to see skyrims plot behave something like this, having you communicate with an even mix of different characters such as high ranking generals wanting strategic advice to widows seeking news of their lovers death.

in my opinion, it would be more immersive than just following one quest line from one group like you did in oblivions main quest, and give you more of a perspective on the cause and effect of the actions that you or other major characters do.
