For all of the above: I'll post a v125c, v126 and v127 later tonight. v125c won't have the co-save check and will help when reverting or random problems like the Streamsave error. v126 and v127 will be diagnostic only - those with Wrye Morph and v128 errors, please try them and see if you still get the errors. That'll at least help me narrow the problem down.

Streamsave - confusing without knowing what changed. One thing to check - save and exit Oblivion, go to your My Documents\My Games\Oblivion\Saves folder, and look at the Date Modified data for the Ess and Pluggy file. Do they match?

Ok, I'll have to wait till I get home, but there shouldn't be Anything thatt's changed, I normally make a save before quiting and use that, but for whatever reson, if I load a Streamsave from the same session, I seem to get that error, I'll have to see what's in Pluggy.txt, just kinda confussing...

*Ok, I didn't have a clue what you were talking about, untill I noticed some Old saves with a .pluggy extension, I haven't had one in the last few weeks, but Pluggy is definatly loading, the OBSE log shows it loading even on the StreamSave file loads.

The Pluggy.txt in my Plugins folder Does have the same time stamp as the file in my Saves folder, for the Regular saves, I just waited for a StreamSave, and Pluggy.txt shows 5:19PM, while the StreamSave is 5:29 (I never had a save @ 5:19)

**StreamSave Is set for ten minute intervals, but the last time it saved was 11:05AM

***Also just noticed the.ess file is 0 KB, I just loaded and stood in one spot for 10 minutes, so that Might explain that, but I Can't understand How the Windows timestamp could be 10 min earlier...
 ****(Gonna try the Update) :whistling:

I may have a problem with Pluggy. Lately my game has been crashing on save. Any kind of save (quicksave, new save, saving over and older save, autosave, console save, streamsave... all of them). There's been a lot of speculation as to what is causing this, and it may have something to do with Pluggy. I use OBSE v19b and have tested with several version of Pluggy on TESNexus right now.

The reason I think it may have something to do with Pluggy is because I've been getting the same error other people have had ("Pluggy co-save does not seem to match").

Brozly: Theories:
  • Pluggy is having a hard time deleting old files... Your mods may no longer have Pluggy data, so no new '.pluggy' is being written. In this case Pluggy should be deleting the file, but maybe it's not able to? If so, you'd load up the old, supposed-to-be-deleted '.pluggy' that would have the co-save mismatch. You can check this by adding '.old' to all of your '.pluggy' files, saving a few times, and see if there are any new '.pluggy' files.
  • Or Pluggy is having a hard time writing new files... you can track this by loading up a file that uses Pluggy data. I.e., load up Alchemical Formulas, write about 10 formulas or so, and save. If there's no new Pluggy file, or it's exactly 0 bytes (not 0kb, that may be anywhere from 0-511 bytes), then this is the problem.

charlettenoyen: Are you using Wrye Morph?

Wrye Morph in general: From feedback, it looks like the error was introduced in v126. I won't be able to track it down until after the new year, but that's a pretty good lead and it shouldn't take long to fix. Thanks to everyone who tested.

No, I'm not. And I double checked by Bashed Patch to make sure I hadn't checked anything that didn't need to be checked.

In the interest of full disclosure, this may have nothing to do with Pluggy. There have been about a dozen red herrings in my quest to solve this problem. I just wanted to check if it was possible Pluggy was causing this. Just thought I'd mention that.

Wrye Morph is the only load-crash problem I've heard. Basically, it expects the data to be there and doesn't behave properly when it suddenly disappears. Though it wouldn't behave properly if the saves truly mismatched, either (hence the check). You can get around the check with v125c - see if it does anything. If it doesn't, well it could still be bad Pluggy data, and the next step would be - why are they mismatched?

Well, when I installed 125C, I was getting .Pluggy files again, went back to 128, (No error even with the Renamed .Pluggy file) and tried with Alchemical Formulas, and I was Indeed getting .Pluggy Save files, it would apperar I Didn't have anything using Pluggy, still seems Odd that it wold Error on a StreamSve file and Not a regular file, when Neither of them had a .Pluggy file associated with them...

In any case Thank You for your time...

Hey!

Need some help here, please.

1. Is Pluggy Dev something else than Pluggy?

2. If yes, then mods asking for Pluggy 128 actually mean Pluggy Dev 128, right?

3. The last version of Pluggy is 125c (uploaded Dec 12, 2010) and the last version of Pluggy Dev is 132 (uploaded Nov. 6 2009). The last version of Pluggy Dev that was uploaded is 127 in Dec. 2010, but it can't be newer because the version number is lower...

Thanks! :)

"Dev" is probably a shorthand for "Development" or something like that, e.g. a way of saying that the version is not really completely tested/finalized, but aside from new features and bugfixes, there's no difference, so Pluggy 128 means Pluggy Dev 128, that's correct. For the record, I have been using the 132 Dev version pretty much since it came out (use Pluggy to save/load files with mod data for Map Marker Overhaul and Enhanced Economy).

So 132 is the last one, despite the weird upload times? Good to know!

Dear Haama, I updated to V132 to get OBSE 21 and CSE6 to work. I am using the mod http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/31431. Since updating, it no longer works right. I get a fixed time displaying now. If I edit the mod's ini file to reposition the clock, I get it to work fine in the new position, but the fixed time continues to display in the old position.

I tried deactivating/reactivating the mod, removing pluggy between saves, and even updating the script in the mod to do a delHUDT, but nothing works. I can't get rid of the old fixed time. The script already does a delAllHudTs on each game start.

I am stumped.

Sincerely,
Rick

PS. It works fine on a new game.
