A PnP RPG

Post » Thu Dec 16, 2010 2:59 am

I'm making an RPG based on the original SPECIAL system in a DnD-esque world (private only, so no nasty cease-and-desist letters for me, ha!). I'm justkinda short on ideas on what to have for traits and perks. also, this is going to be a challenge, since i've never played fallout or any related, but, meh, I like challenges. Any ideas on the system? trait/perk ideas?

Head over the the Vault - A fallout wiki and see the Lionheart perks.

There's an old P&P RPG based on Fallout floating around the internet somewhere. Try looking that up, if nothing else it could be good inspiration.

Here are ones from TORN, a canceled fantasy game by Black Isle:

Faster Resting for Spells per Day Perks, More Spells per Day Perks. You know the traits that classes get when they level up? Make them perks.

How would the magic system work? What about skill point formulae?

I believe this is what you are referring to http://fallout-rpg.narod.ru/PnP.html

Ah I remember playing 'Fallout' years and years ago with my old D&D crew.

As far as using the system goes, this is a good start, but as for implementing magic and such... ummm... good luck! :D
