Pointless topics and discussion

Post » Tue Dec 01, 2015 3:05 pm

Without extensive gameplay and all features brought to light any talk about it is pointless. Some people want DLC ?! WTF main game is not out yet! for God sake! Some people act as it is allready AWESOME game , want to be GOTY?! HELLOO!! game is not out yet! so are you all brain dead ?or just like to act like one.

It's called hype, weak-willed (not brain-dead, that's rude) people are very vulnerable to it. But I don't calling them out on it will stop them from making wild hypotheses as they enjoy it, so what OldtimeKiller said.

I for one have never acted like a brain dead.

And for the record, following the logic of your comments, anyone caught discussing tomorrow's weather should be sent to prison for blasphemy. The scoundrels!

If this was a brand new series, a brand new franchise that no one's ever played before, then I can see how your post might make sense. But since it's not new, and we are all familiar with Fallout, I'd have to say that this post is a more pointless topic than the topics you are complaining about!

It's a forum community that likes to talk Fallout. It's not the community's fault that Bethesda hasn't provided anything new to discuss recently. What folk know has been talked to death. Speculation is all that's left for the time being.

I think what's funny is I think people who never may have played the series ask for the stupidest [censored] when it comes to features.

The new players are the worst, the ones that just play games to satisfy their crack habit and would CoD'ify the game in a heart beat lol

There' s still some insightful stuff out there. I listened to the two hour interview with Courtenay Taylor yesterday and was amazed. And the other two hour interview with Brian Delaney is also good.

There is a first Fallout game for everyone, and I, for one, like to see the community growing.

More players means a bigger budget and more features for the game.

OT: I disagree, I think this community is full of intelligent individuals speculating, and I find most topics interesting and entertaining.

Yes and No....A growing community never ever equates to a better community in some cases. My take is new people don't really do there homework on a game and just run to the forums and start demanding "Feature x,y,z is in this game it should be here" without even understanding why it shouldn't be here. If we look at other franchises no matter what the game or size...It's always a vocal minority that ruins a game etc. Being smart has zero to do with asking for features that should never belong in a game. Say we take the hot term of "QoL, or Quality of Life" changes that people seem to want at times. I equate that with just being lazy.

Take settlements, I honestly wish this wasn't in the game. I don't know why but I have a feeling fluff features like this will be more common place. It's like a mini game on a bigger scale. What it has to do with the franchise as a hole I have no idea. What if settlements turn out to be garbage and just aren't working properly? Other parts of the game that are more important will suffer due to a fluff item and not see fixes quicker.

Again it's just an opinion and your mileage may vary.

Although I agree prior knowledge of the series is important when proposing changes, I could argue that if a proposal makes no sense (thematically or gameplay-wise) it will most likely be ignored, whether it comes from a veteran or someone new to the series.

Bear in mind a fresh point of view is often important to improve anything, games included, and the need for a particular feature in a game is always subjective, at least when it comes from users, not the developers themselves.

Yeah, it does amuse me, that one.

Eh, people will post what they wanna post (for good or ill, but that's why we have admins).

When someone posts something that there's no info on, the best you can do is offer speculation, or simply post that...you don't know. It kind of settles the matter.
