Poison damage total OP - broken?

Post » Mon Nov 30, 2015 12:41 am

it looks like poison damge is kinda broken in FO4^^

even in a power armor i got meltet by a few mosquitos, bloodbugs, boatflys and so on!

a few of these insects are way more deadly than an alpha deathclaw - is this intended?

for me, it looks like the devs have "forgotten" to give the power armor some posion resistance^^

a PA can protect me from highlvl radiaton and anything else, but a few spits from insects almost kill me?

this doesn't feel right to me... :nope:

To be fair with the exception of legendary gear, no armor really gives you poison resistance, which make sense, you're taking damage from something thats surging through your blood.

It was the same as cazadors in NV. Poison kills quick. It doesn't matter how buff or tough you are. If a very venemous creature bites you death comes fast.

If you are in power armor I agree you should have some poison resistance unless they can Pierce the armor... When o was in it for the first time I felt like an AT-AT vs. Ewoks...

I think power armor is way OP in fallout 4 though so I refuse to use it.

you're sealed inside a power armor! you can even walk and breathe under water^^

...so it would make sense if the PA gives you some resistance against poison :goodjob:

i have some poison resistance gear, but gear effects doesn't work inside a PA.

and leaving your mighty PA to fight a poison boss like the mirelurk queen?? come on... :wavey:

Seeing as PA is completely hermetic, you shouldn't be able to get poisoned at all.

Avoid ponds, lakes and other body of water until you're high enough level.

I agree. Getting poisoned through power armor by bloatflies makes no sense at all. They should have made radiated fireflies that do energy damage. I can see how the blood bugs could stab through the flexible parts of the power armor to poison you, but not the bloatflies.

...is there any simple way to add some reasonable poison resistance to my power armor(parts)?

or is this a job for a modder?
