Poisonous Assassin

Post » Thu Aug 15, 2013 10:54 pm

So, thoughts on a random build I just thought of.

Poisonous Assassin.

Put no points into one handed, bow, sneak points but not assassin blade, op.

No smithing.

Main weapon is really just poison, weapons are merely a way to apply posion.

Enchanting to put elements on weapons and use weakness to them potion.

Sneak to apply posions, when caught in a impossible sneak postion, use fireball and such magic.

Any ideas or suggests.

I don't see Assassin's Blade as being OP'd. I mean the entire idea is one-shot the enemy anyway. That's what happens when you cut one's throat.

Nonetheless, I have made a couple of Alchemists. It is very viable and I used the Bound weapons as a delivery system.

By not investing in the weapon skills, it allows the poison to do it's job.

It may work , i never tried it but i wonder what you will do when you'll need to go into those Dwemer ruins or fight Draugrs who are the majority of enemies in Skyrim , or if you meet an Argonian like for instance Jaree-Ra and his sister, you might need something else to rely on perhaps

Absolutely. Poison needs a circulatory system. Undead skeletons have neither a cardiovascular nor a lymphatic system. The same for Dragon Priests, Skeletons and Automations.

However, I think Ghosts react to certain effects, IIRC.

EDIT : Nonetheless, an Alchemist can utilize potions to buff their damage output for various weapons, Health, Magicka, and Stamina. As well as use potions like Invisibility for strategic maneuvers and escape.

A poison is still a poison. Even the weakness poisons are still... well, poisons. Thus anything that is immune will be unaffected by them.

So....do you have suggestions to deal with this? I guess you already said, use like fortify archery? Will that be enough without putting points into weapon skill?

That depends on the difficulty you are set on. However, one can develop a weapon skill and just not spend perks in it. I always have several perks banked and on standby throughout every playthrough so that I can throw them into something as needed. I have finished with characters that still have 5 unspent perks.
