Poll : Are you glad that you bought Brink ?

Post » Mon Nov 01, 2010 9:30 pm

The game is a huge amount of fun, people who complain about anything but the lag are blowing their views way out of proportion. When the lag gets fixed and the free DLC hits I'm going to be super happy, right now I'm just moderately happy playing offline/coop.

Do you know whats sad? This Poll, I mean really you ask that question in the games own forum!? Its like asking somebody if they like their job while they are standing next to their manager. I will bet they will say yes 98 out of 100 times.

I don't regret buying it, but I can't see myself owning it for very long. Splash damage took a chance and tried something different, and for the most part it works really well, but there are some critical design flaws that just leave me feeling disappointed.

Its a bold new IP and I support those wherever possible, because I'd rather give my money to Splash damage for trying something original and coming up slightly short of greatness than give my money to IW or Treyarch for another round of Cod. Whether I keep it for a week, a month or a year, I don't regret the decision.

I love the game. So different to your usual FPS game. Played CSS for years, COD a little shorter. Battlefield is just awesome and with the 3rd game coming soon it'll wipe out any trace of the S**t that has happened to COD since No. 4.

Brink ideas are a success in my eyes and the SMART system is wonderfully weird. I forget how times I've wanted to get over this fence or that wall while playing COD etc.

BRINK will stay are for a long time especially on the PC. :fallout:

im very very very satisfied with this game.

It differs from other FPS. Finally a game that does.

while its not perfect, it was a cheap game all in all to buy. and it has more promising content in teh future!

I'm very, very happy with my purchase and can see myself playing this game for many months to come. It will definitely last me over this summer.

id wish i had spent my $50 on something better...

This, basicly.

I don't regret getting BRINK. But after 19hours it doesn't make me go back to it as much as for example Modern Warfare 2 did. Granted, Modern Warfare 2 was plain stupid, but at the same time it felt like a round experience. BRINK feels very edgy still.
For 50 bucks, I could've also gotten a better game.

Yes, but the lag needs fixing and a lobby would be a good idea.

Changed my answer to: PS3: No. But, that's for now; it may change later if the patches and DLC are any good. :sadvaultboy:

Right now, I feel this game (which has soooo much awesome potential) is unpolished and I'm getting more and more frustrated with this game (playing offline). Challenges
are not really worthwhile either and are kind of boring, so I'm going to wait for patches and DLC. Right now, I'm kind of regretting getting this game (and I very rarely
regret buying games, so yeah....). :cryvaultboy:

The more i play i resent the game, I expected everyone to want to work as a team but so far the only real teamwork ive seen is when i play co-op with a buddy n when the bots grow a brain as the timer ticks down...

Im playing as a medic n it gets annoying really fast to hear the game spurt the same 3 lines calling for a medic....

This game made me realize why CoD is popular cause most of its playerbase just want to shot stuff, rinse wash repeat

Im probably gonna leave Brink on the shelf for a bit til DLC n patches come out n go back to uncharted 2
