Poll : Are you glad that you bought Brink ?

Post » Mon Nov 01, 2010 6:25 pm

When Brink released in the US and read loads of people complaining about the game I got worried if I would like the game. Now that I've played Brink I am glad that I pre ordered it its like I said in an other topic the best FPS game I played in years. Its refreshing,Forces you to play in teams and support your team, loads of customizations etc etc. So for the people that are worried because they have not yet played Brink I was thinking about a Poll with on what platform you bought it because I bought it on PC and I don't have some issues some ps3/Xbox360 users might have.

Only picked it up in Australia. It seems to be good so far, I like how the Story Mode doesnt have many Mission's but they made them Long.

Depends on how fast there is a sale and how fast they fix things. If I have to wait a month to play it much online and its on sale for 40 dollars at that point then yeah i would have rather just waited.

I am glad that I got the game at a discount. At full price, I would be extremely disappointed.

I'm one of those whose online experience borders on unplayable, and isn't a fan of the AI.

I feel that if I had paid full price, I would have liked a full working game. Since I paid a discounted price, I'm a little more mellow about my disappointment.

Voted Yes - XBox 360. Enjoying it so far and I'm sure I"ll enjoy it more when the kinks are worked out and I'm actually capable of playing online.

I have PS3 version. IF SD tweaked the AI in future, then yes, I would be glad I bought Brink.

Otherwise, while I love the gameplay and overall concept, the AI in single-player needs to be improved for me to have have more fun.
If SD doesn't fix this within a month or two or three, I'm going to be very, very disappointed.

I voted yes PC.

Since this shooter has everything that other shooters don't have or do have but not using it. That is teamwork. Also the SMART system i love it. The maps are diverse. And when the minor issues are fixed this game is going a long way for me.
And i love how to make your own soldier to your needs it works fantastic. On the PC the game looks for me great and runs butter smooth. If you guys ask what videocard i have GTX280 and still runs awesome.

I sincerly want to thank Splash damage to make a game finally with out stupid campers, overpowerd weapons etc. I like how it runs and what you can do. I look forward to see more in the coming months of maps and hopefully other stuff!

Yes for xbox. I've played games that had far worse launch issues that were addressed within a few weeks of release.

Despite some of the shortcomings mainly the Single Player and Ai bots, the game play is solid for me, I love the battles I've been in so far, just wished I could record them in game instead of having to use a program like Fraps.

Honestly for this game to survive the long haul, Splash Damage probably want to adopt Valve's Ideology on Updates constant bug fixing for it's game to keep the community striving, if not i definitely see this game ending up at the bottom of gamers' playlist of games to play.

I'm gonna say yes because I'm sitting on it for a few months waiting for it to get patched
now I'm just more worried about Rage and Skyrim. Will be the same crazy release problems? I hope not, lol

I'm seriously fine with the fact I bought it. Although, I'm not sure how much playing will be done until a patch comes out. I beat everything so far so it's just MP for me now.

What I don't like is how short the game is. I can see why the reviews call it a renter because you can get a full satisfying play with it over a few days. MP lacks the addictive gameplay that other MP games have. The fact that its the same thing over and over again on every map and there is no alternative path to take. It's just simply playing the campaign over against people who just try to kill you not do objectives.

I need more content/variation in gameplay for this to be a daily player.

I went back and played Halo Reach for about an hour after I got bored with Brink and it was horrid. Then I played Blops and it was even worse. I ended up playing Crackdown with a friend which I found extremely fun.

Lovin it , played through the challenges and now on campaign to get the hang of things, initially got a bit of lag on mp but tried switching game modes as suggested on forum post and this seemed to help, im gonna finish campaign and get stuck into mp some more, or if i can find some of my friends invite them to campaign with me.

Agree with some of the other post suggestin a lobby system , thisk this would improve things, and hopefully a patch will sort the other little niggles, but def lovin it.

even if this game wasnt hyped for two year, and i had enver heard about it, i would still have been disappointed, probably even if the game was finisihed. This I wont know for a while but in the current state, id rather have my money.
