Oh come on an engineer in a game where you can lay landmines? Irish, hands down.

8 different voices were confirmed, yeah?

So far:

French
British
American
Irish
Jamaican

3 left, with my guesses being on German, Russian, and Chinese/Asian

The stereotype French and German accent are very similar, afaik. Wouldn't make sense to have both.

African and Jamaican - Same here?

My guess is still for French and German, if [censored] hits the fan, maybe something Nordic? (Finnish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic)

Wow, imho, their accents sound completely different in English.

True, but they share some common linguistic traits. German and French accents pronounce the letter "r" very similarly.

German ressembles English way more than French, since French is a Latin based language and both English and German are "German" based languages. I live in between these language zones and I got lessons in both languages, the R is one of the major differences. Frenchies use more of a throat R, while Germans use their tongue more. Atleast that's what we learned, I'm not a specialist.

Edit: Feel free to ignore my way too detailed comment :P

Granted. But one of the most stereotype traits of both Germans and Frenchies is saying "Ze" or "Seh" instead of "The".

I couldn't see someone confusing a stereotypical German and French accent, at least in English. When in doubt, ask them if they prefer Jerry Lewis or David Hasslehoff.

I chose American, but here's my dream accents, in order of likeliness:

Bad Generic Eastern European
Grizzled Australian by way of Mad Max
New York Yiddish

New York Yiddish

HA! It would be hilarious if you could pick a New York accent.

I kinda hoped there would be a Dutch accent since I'm from Holland . Although, people say I sound real American when I speak English... so I actually speak American... I guess :ermm:. So I'll pick American for my first character and Jamaican for my second.

I voted American, but I'd much rather have a Bostonian accent. Growing up round Boston, I'm used to hearing it.

That's already pretty specific.
