This must mean "how long at a time", because the options don't make sense otherwise:

Total gaming time for me may vary from a few minutes if i absolutely hate the game, or svck at it, to hundreds of hours in many playthroughs for games like Fallout. But 15 hours total is little even for games i didn't especially like, for example i played fallout 3 for 30 hours or something, while i didn't find it very good.

So, well, 1-2 hours per day for me.

What I try to do is set aside a day to a whole weekend to play the new game when I get it.

Sometimes, I will have the new game for a couple of weeks before I have the time to play it straight through.

Now for replay value, I will play as I can on the 2nd + time that I play a game.

I too took the poll to mean how long do you sit down to play a new game, once you start the game.

I play single player mode long before playing a game online.

That method helps me learn the ins and outs of a game before being exposed to the online community.

For Example, I downloaded but didn't play the Red Alert 3 Multiplayer Demo. Wanted to TRY the units at least in a sandbox mode NOT to be thrown to the dogs to learn the game online. Since there was NO Single Player Demo to learn the game at that time... so I didn't purchase the game.

Have played too many games that just didn't live up to the hype... bought a few without trying the demo first. Never again will I pay for a game without FIRST Play Testing it.

Purchased many games that I normally wouldn't have purchased because the demo was so well representative of the game play.

Unreal Tournament was purchased because of the outstanding Single and Multiplayer Demo.

Descent 1 demo was one that I played and deleted a lot of times before purchasing it as part of Descent: The Definitive Collection which included Descent 2.

8-)

I play until I see them credits, baby!!

... And the if the game was good, I'll continue playing post credits until I get bored of the game. :)

I think I have a game save on Fallout 2 with roughly 120+ hours :D

That game NEVER gets boring! War... War Never Changes...

This.

I finished both Fallout and Fallout 2 over 10 times EACH.

Also I play homm3 occasionally, homm4 I played a bit and fell asleep, homm5 I finished the original campaign but went braindead after trying the expansions.

For single player gaming imo best are rpgs, BG and Fallout hands down - they (as in good rpg games) ALWAYS keep you playing until end credits while as games like rts or fpp are just better to play with other people I guess.

HOMM3... wow that brings back memories. I remember my friend booting up Windows 95 on his old Packard Bell computer. It was a Pentium II system I think. He'd load the game up and me and him play co-op for hours. Oh those where the days. It was actually memories such as that one that got me into learning more about computers and now today after many of years I am a computer technician.

I still stroll down memory lane ever so often to all my favorites and even with age I smile cause I remember how awesome they where and still are. Image
I told the Overseer of Vault 13 I'd give everything to save everyone, and so I did, I saved them all. Since then I've felt loneliness.

i like playing games until i see the end credits, but my job doesnt let me. usually, i get 2-3 hours worth of play before i need to go to work or sleep, depending on the task set that day. but i cant stand reaching the credits at the end of the 2-3 hour mark when i just started playing in that same 2-3 hour sitting. oh, well! LOL!

I'll always play a game to completion if it provides a good story, an engrossing atmosphere, and engaging gameplay. If it lacks one or more of those components, I won't finish it but I'll enjoy what's there as an entertaining distraction.

Fallout 1 and 2 have always stood out for me because it created it's own universe and showed promise for future installments that expand on the saga. Thankfully, gamesas gave me a chance to (legally) experience Tactics, a game I wrongfully passed on the first-time around. It's the *new* Fallout adventure I've been waiting for years to play.

Best of Luck with the MMORP; I would be very interested to check that out when it's finished.
