I don't go so far as to set up electrical lighting at every settlement, just my favorites, but all of them have at least basic needs, a fence, a radio, enough seating to relax at the end of the day, and a food/drink and medic vendor.

Depends on the character. My previous one, I had probably 20 or so settlements. All with the bare necessities. No special armor or weapons for the settlers. Structure wise, I came to favor a large one room dwelling, half covered and full of beds, the other half uncovered with scav stations and vendors.

Current character, Abernathy only developed as my Adhesive farmers (same structure style) and RR as my home. Sanctuary Hills is my settler-less shipment duping site.

How geared are your settlers ?

My settlements have zero settlers , unless someone already lives there.

I do not populate them.

How many settlements do you have ?

Last game I had 8 I think.

How do you deal with kidnappings ?

Never had to deal with one of those.

How far do u develop settlements ?

my settlements are empty. No people and NO critters. Nothing at all.

No vote.

Before finishing the MQ, just the basic needs.

After the MQ, it's time for a new era! City halls, research outposts, Minutemen outposts, standardized equipment, scraping old buildings in favor of neater building style (RP-ing that the Institute restored some factories) and an Institute capital at Spectacle Island! The future has come, my dear settlers!

How geared are your settlers ?

Provisioners: caged armor. Expected the gal that make the route between Castle and Spectacle Island. Give to her a Longshoreman outfit lol. Weapon: Assalt rifles.

Stalkers (the guys who go around looking materials): gas mask with googles + wrapped cap + leather coat. Weapon: pipe pistol, because unfortunately they never leave the camp.

Guards: Minutemen combat armor (from We are the Minutemen mod). The weapons are varied.

artillery operators: bomber jacket′s with this AWESOME draw

and military cap. Weapon: double barrel shotguns

Cooks: chef hats of course and tuxedos. Pipe pistol.

Weapon and armor dealers: another minutemen outfits from We Are the Minutemen. I like to pretend that they are true minutemen, quartemasters, not simple settlers. Weapon: Laser Musket

Doctors: I only choose women, because

How do you deal with kidnappings ?

How far do u develop settlements ?

I build (in fact, already filled the bag with this game, the only thing that I still stand to do is build). A sample, one of my stores, sorry for the poor quality of the picture

I take a few settlements and give them personality.

One like raider thunder dome with matching gear.

One like a full fledged town with landmarks.

One a dystopian fortress populated by people in matching uniforms.

I voted for just a random weapon but I'm taking a mixed approach. I deck out my named settlers in metal or combat armor and give them fully upgraded (sort of, I upgrade the damage, barrel, and stock of the weapon, I don't think the other upgrades help the AI much) semi-auto combat/assault rifles since they can die and plan to do the same with provisioners that need to cover a particularly long distance and/or operate in more dangerous parts of the map later on (Country Crossing, The Castle, Finch Farm, and The Slog come to mind as examples). After these provisioners, I'll next try to equip any Minutemen that appear at The Castle, then all my other provisioners, then the rest of the settlers at The Castle, then the settlers at Sanctuary Hills, and finally all the settlers in my other settlements but I doubt that'll happen as enemies drop only so much armor. My provisioners will probably be given upgraded laser/plasma weapons since I don't care if they leave permanent ash piles or not.

How many settlements do you have?

Right now? 5, but I'm in the process of expanding. I'm siding with the BoS so I'm not aiming for all 28 like I would if I was playing the Minutemen but I'm hoping to acquire at least 12 in total (including Bunker Hill and Covenant). I'm building up defenses in all my settlements in order to reduce the chances of enemy attacks as much as possible but how many settlements I ultimately get in this campaign depends on how often I have to deal with attacks once I reach my goal of 12.

How do you deal with kidnappings?

Didn't have to deal with this yet, but I would resort to immediate .45 diplomacy.

How far do u develop settlements?

They're just agrarian communities. I might try to make Sanctuary Hills and The Castle into something more but I'm not really into building.
